Description
The Gamers Alliance who has brought the University of North Carolina some of the best video game themed parties ranging from old school costumes with retro games to huge new release parties have decided to host UNCC’s first Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament that will be advertised on smashboards.com allisbrawl.com and throughout the UNCC community. We’re expecting a lot of people to come to our tourney so be on time.

If we run too late we may be forced to switch to single elimination brackets AND/OR single matches (not best of 3) for pools ONLY. Brackets will without exception run best of 3 matches.

Controller Mods(turbo pads) glitches, stalling are BANNED
DDD standing infinite is banned
chain grabs are legal infinites are not(excluding IC's infinite CG, this is allowed)
Japanese ledge rule is in effect 40 ledge grabs and your out for a match
Double blinds can be called for first match
If the stock count is tied, then the player with the lowest damage percent wins the round. If Sudden Death is forced by one player using a "suicide" move (Kirby/Dedede Swallow, Ganondorf Flame Choke, Bowser Bomb, Wario Bite, etc.), then whoever initiated the suicide move wins the game. If both the percent and stock are tied at the end of a match, a one (1) stock, two (2) minute match will be played. This match must be played on the same level as the game prior and with the same characters. Whoever wins this 1-stock playoff wins the game.

First match must be played on neutral stage each player bans 1 stage or random

Moving the date is a very good idea, Blae.

Banishment is going to be a much larger tournament, and you'll only be detracting attendance from both.

But I'm not going to either, so... /shrug.

Change the date, it'll help attendance for both of our tournaments—and it'll let me go to another NC event.

lol nc is getting srs 4 real 17th for duke is confirmed btw. there will be free food as well.

I'll be at this one whenever it is, considering UNCC is 15 mins from my house.

bump for hype, all you greensboro and further NC guys should come to this... there isn't anything else around that time AFAIK and the better response we get from stuff like this the easier it will be to run something bigger in the future
