Good Afternoon OTL, today I bring forward my first tournament in 2 years, Rebellion. This is a mix tournament event, both 1v1's and 2v2's shall be hosted at the same time, both with there own prizes (to be decided, depending on participation). This will be a mere sampling of the events the OTL Council will bring forward to you, and we seek the best of the best in competition.
-Rules
1v1~
-32 man tournament
-3 stock
-Best of 3 matches, except Winner's final's, Loser's finals and Grand final's, which will be best of 5
-No Items
-All Stalling related techniques banned, and stalling in general is banned
-Ledge grabbing cap set to 50, if passed, it's up to the other player to call it (provide evidence if you can)
-Double Elimination
2v2~
-16 team tournament (32 players)
-3 stock
-Team attack on
-Life Stealing is allowed
-No Items
-Stalling and Ledge grabbing rules the same as 1v1
-Best of 3, except Semi-Final's and Final's will be best of 5
-Single Elimination (Due to how annoying Double's online hosting can be)
Both~
-Both players Ban a stage for the set (only Ban applies to when CPing)
-Both players will stage strike the neutrals until only one remains, which will be used the first match.
-After the first match, the losing player will than Counter pick his stage, and announce it (in tags in game or a live chat).
-Since this is online, you may switch characters any time, since informing each other is to difficult
-Repeat until match is done
Before we get to the stage list, Im sure some of you may not agree, HOWEVER, this stage list is the stage list Alberta shall be using for our first monthly tournament in our new series, since the last host quit. This tournament in essence, is a testing ground to see how this will work in practicality. Im also adding one other stage to the CP's not on our list, due to my personal curiosity of how the stage would play out. I encourage everyone to voice opinions during this tournament about how stages and CPing played out, and what sorta effects the stage had on your games, this way Ill have data to provide for RPS' monthlies.
