DEVASTATION is back again for its sixth year and we are bigger and better than last year! To celebrate the success of last year, we are doubling our efforts to bring you 17 different games and 22 individual tournaments in 2010!

We haven't announced the prize pots just yet. Please be patient with us. We're working to make this DEV even better than last year.

The first post has been edited to add Modern Warfare 2 to the list of tournament games.

okay so the prize pots havent been posted yet but just out of curiosity, how many people come to this tournament? and like i asked-is it worth a road trip to phoenix all the way from salt lake city utah?

I'd have to double check the bracket from last year, but with Evo and Genesis right after us, we still pulled in 50 or so players. To my knowledge, there's no Genesis in June/July this year and Evo won't be featuring Brawl, so I can only assume the attendance will see a significant boost.

If we get numbers similar to or better than last year, I would say it's worth the trip from Salt Lake City. We run Brawl on CRT TVs to ensure there's no lag, and while we have yet to finalize the stream schedule this year, I'm fairly certain Brawl will get stream time (last year we didn't get a chance to feature Brawl on the stream so I want to rectify that this year).

Hey whoever can answer this please do. On the stages it has pokemon stadium listed and I was wondering if that is the melee or brawl pokemon stadium. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

I will double check this, but it's tournament standard rules, so the one generally used is the one it should be. Again, I'll double check for you.

Ok it's almost been a week now and you still haven't given me an answer :/ I don't want to drop 50 dollars on a tourney if I don't even have the opportunity of knowing what I'm playing on.

Pokemon Stadium 1 is usually not banned.

Pokemon Stadium 2 is usually banned.

Pokemon Stadium (no number at all) = Pokemon Stadium 1

It's save to say that the Pokemon Stadium that will be playable at the Devastation Brawl Tournament, located in Phoenix, Arizona on June 18th-20th is the first one, the one from Melee.

It's the Melee one. Sorry for the delay, but I'm out of town at the moment.

We should be announcing some of the pots soon. Brawl may only be $1000 this year, but I'll have confirmed pots soon. We're waiting on some additional confirmation, which is slowing up our announcing process.

It looks like NM will be showing up strong again.

Strong is such a strong word... I would just say NM's showing up to have fun and get their ***es wooped by the friendly neighborhood AZ peeps

but I <3 AZ guys so it's worth it

Looks like we'll have the official pot announcements coming next Friday (subject to change).

The pot will be at least $1000. I can confirm that much (and look, it's still Friday).

DEVASTATION Countdown: Two Months Out

Hey guys - just a friendly reminder that DEVASTATION is now only two months out...

It is scary how fast the last two months have flown by and I imagine that the next two will move by even faster. So, while we get our stuff wrapped up, you should as well. Better to get all your stuff taken care of now than waiting until the last minute.

We are not holding an "official" Melee event, only Brawl.

Now, should the community want to run a side-tournament/event for Melee - that is groovy.
