We Ohio Brawlers kinda need a new Ohio thread with the following info....

Player's Locations/Smash Tags
Driver contact info
Links to Ohio Related threads (tournes... nationals Ohioans are going to... PR listings... etc)

Kinda a general Ohio discussion zone that can also be used for smashers new to Ohio (or smash in general that live in Ohio) as a starting place to get to know this awesome community.

ARTISTS NEEDED!!!!!!

We need people to create a region map that is color coded based on the regions listed below.
Kinda like this:

But it would be labeled based on Crews/locations.
We would then have a "key" under the image as another image OR it would just be posted in the thread under the image.
PLEASE ONLY USE COLORS THAT ARE AVAILABLE ON SMASHBOARDS FORUMS!!!!!
And of course, feel free to decorate it with Smash related stuff. Image can be as large as you want, as long as it fits well in these forums.

BUT what we need is player's tags and what city/region they are from....
There mains would be nice too... to help recognize who they are... (but doesn't have to be in the actual thread)

@Juu: I heard from Clowsui that he mains MK (From same region). But since mains are more used to put a character to a name/face, I'll leave it as is until ONAGA corrects me.

That's pretty much NW Ohio in a nutshell. Hope that helps. These are guys who play Smash regularly/have done well in tournaments we've been to together.

Why does everyone always screw up Ohio's city names?

It's not COLOMBUS, it's Columbus.

It's not Cincinatti, it's Cincinnati.

And just in case you were wonder, it's not CLEAVELAND, it's Cleveland.

Also, Kass and I aren't in Clifton. We are in Linwood.

@Dark Louis: Thanks, I knew you knew NWOH better than most. We are only sticking to brawl characters for now so people can put a name to a face. (Like I would refer to Nope as "That Snake player from Springfield" before I knew him/described him to someone.) Most of us have refered to you as that Wolf player from Toledo, heh. Also only one main, so which would you prefer?

Put me as Wolf, since you guys refer to me as "That Wolf player from Toledo." I won most of the tournaments in Toledo with Wolf anyways.

Though I play Snake and Wolf pretty much equally depending on the MU's/stages I encounter.

(I spend half my time in Toledo during the school year, but I live in MI btw.)

I'll add a few more for the sake of data. These guys play at our college's gaming club. The next 2 are active, kind of new to the game, but I see potential in them. Mizu's been to a couple tournaments. The last 3 are good, but are a little inactive/play a different version of Brawl. I listed the mains they play in regular Brawl.

lmao jk...we just lack rides I guess, and money. But we had a surge of local tournies this year, and more people are wanting to get involved. If I can get a Saturday off work, I really want to bring some guys down south.

happens, its sucks more so that we're kinda a big state. Though not as big as cali, tx where it takes some smashers 6 hours to get to houston

It's around 4 hours to get to Cincy from Cleveland. That's quite a bit honestly.

@Nova: Let's get that other thing done first... but the idea of a MM/Tourne pokedex/trading cards sounds cool too. (Players have a pamphlet that has players listed, you cross off players as you play them or MM them.... like a pokedex)

@Dark Louis: Two of Ohio's top players don't "live" in Ohio as well (AZ and OS). But this list is a "If you go to this area, you will be able to play against.... _______ " Also, does your club have a name? Or do you prefer Toledo Smash? (The area would be listed like OUGA.... OUGA/Athens.)

@Nope: OUGA has a much sexier list, PLUS they have GIRLS!

Also keep bringing on the local players! If they play smash with you (even if they don't travel), then you should add them. Again look at it like this:...

"Hi I'm a player from IL going to Akron University next fall, who all is in the area that I can practice with?"

Or

"I'm from MI and I need housing for Season's Beatings 2, are there people in Columbus that play smash?"
