The venue doesnt open till 4 pm today. Do not come early to just hang around the venue. The owner of the venue is getting angry. So do not come till 4 pm, if you show up you will be escorted off the premise. So stop comming until 4 pm. This is important. Do not come earlier either, 4 pm exact please.

im talking for SNPR aka Sniper. hes gonna be late
I've been planning on going to OC3 (International Smash Tournament) for 5 months,
and I've been telling my mom everyday that I will be going and that it's $75 with 2 meals a day, hotel housing, and for three days. This will be on of the best tournaments in Smash history and if I miss it I will regret it for the rest of my life. All of the best players in the world are going and my friend is going.75 dollars for 2 meals a day, hotel housing, and three day tournaments (different parts each day is the best deal ever. So what's stopping me? Not the money, not the meals...... the hotel housing! What the hell. I can't go because I can't stay in a hotel room for 2 days that is included with the entrance fee $75, that sucks ***! My best friend is staying in a hotel room and he's 2 years older than me. My dad doesn't want me to go because he considers me (15) and my friend (17) as minors. I was originally supposed to go on a train today at 11 A.M. with my friend prior to spending the night over at his house on Thursday, but my parents argued that I have summer school! I had a talk with them about making up work and stuff, and I convinced them, so they let me go. A few hours after they agreed to take me, my father asked my mother what time the tournament ended, he replied and said "Sunday." He got mad and changed his mind about me going to a tournament for three days spending the night at a hotel and staying the night at my friends house, so I got extremely mad. So mad that I didn't want to go to school.. but I ended up getting ready at the last minute, so that all worked out. I just used my clothes that I was going to use for the tournament days. So today I asked them if I can go and they said only for one day. And I said that 75 dollars for one tournament day is a ripoff, when you could just go for three days with the hotel housing. They said that that was the only way for me to go. After school today I asked him if they could take me, they said no because it takes too long to get there (est. 45 minutes). The registration ends at 5 or 6, and they got home at 3:00, so I couldn't had enough time to go... So now I'm stuck here regretting the fact that I couldn't go...................... All of the smash players I've dreamed of playing will not come true ever again. OC3 was a once in a life time chance, with approximately 320 people going. This may not seem like a big deal, but I love SSBM, I love competing, I love meeting people that love SSBM, and I traveling with my friends. This was all ruined from minor problems: parental strictness, parental ignorance
They could've let me go, because they told me they had money for me, but they didn't let me go because they don't care about me, they only care about one part of me.. my safety. The only way for me to go is if I get a ride, my parents are at my brothers baseball, which lasts 3 hours, so they can give me a ride. Maybe a miracle will happen.

The tournament will not start till 630 pm and once we lock down nobody i mean nobody is allowed to leave . If you leave you will get kicked out of the venue and u will have to get your own place.
for all of you who showed up and were turned away we are sorry. WE didnt know that 200 smashers would show up at 9 am till 310 pm for no apparent reason. People need to read more. That is all .

apparently this morning at 9 am about 200 people came to the warehouse and decided to loiter around a business area. WE stated on the first page that people are suppose to show up at 4 pm. Listed on the first page. Now because of these smashers who decide to show up for no reason early except to play smash oc3 was almost canceled. LUckily we managed to get things calmed down but this put us 2 hours behind.I heard it starts at 6:30 from my friend about a half hour ago. xD. *cries* I'm going to miss all of the smash celebrities.

lesheik, that happened to me. However, my parents didn't even let me go for one day, for i'm only 15.
Anyway, it looks like 0C3 was in a state of mortal danger just now. I hope all goes well. The venue owner doesn't seem too nice.

Lesheik, you could have told them you were going to stay over at one of your friend's house. I really wish i could have gone there, I've been wanting to go to the states and play on a tournament there, but i just can't get the money. Maybe next year I'll go and play Brawl over there.

ok, so i arrived at like 4:30, seeing pc chris, ken, dsf, bombsoldier and ken all outside. I was very elated. I even yelled out that pc chris was my idol to him. Then i was informed about the incident and thought it was no big deal, then my mom freaks out about like cops being there and violence or w/e. So here i am at home depressed that im not at oc3.

i'll be hitting "refrresh" non-stop the next two days XD..
man.. i really hope brawl is going to be on-line.. that way, we can set up online tournaments for people who can't travel or be at live tournaments.. but then again, i hope that online features don't completely take over live tournaments

you sir are the ****. i was just thinking earlier today how awesome it would be if someone had a liveblog of this o_o. also, it looks like things are gonna be jam-packed. which may suck for temperature/odor reasons, but i imagine its going to make crews/brackets freaking intense since everyone will be crammed together watching. god i hope that by some miracle ken and m2k have an intense epic marth ditto, that would be awesome.

If you really wanted people to be reminded, you would have had Ken edit every post that says what time they're supposed to arrive at the venue.
I'm going to be copying this post because Ken has a habit of altering peoples post and abusing his mod powers. So please answer these series of questions truthfully and don't be an jerk about it because I'm just asking a series of questions.
What are you serving for those 3 days? (Food wise)
Are people allowed to leave the venue to go shower?
You are charging people 20 dollars to get to play bomb soldier, does he get any of that money and if so how much?
If he gets the whole 20 dollars for each person he plays, can you please post how many people he played and have a picture with him holding the money at the airport?
How much did the venue cost?
How much did food cost?
How much did transportation cost?
Did you charge anyone to stay at your house?
How much did you receive in donation money?
Can you please list who donated what and how much?
Why did mana ban chu from staying at the house for not wanting to donate 30% of his VA biweekly money to OC3?
Why did mana get such an easy pool?
Please answer all these questions truthfully. In all fairness, I hope that the tournament actually plays out well. Good luck to all my homies, and know that I got you all covered like a Jimmy Hat!

hey this tournament is already off to a terrible start. who would've guessed? Oh, i know who would have guessed. i would have guessed.
actually not really, i thought for as much money as they were making ken+mana would present an enjoyable experience for the community.
i guess i overestimated them
edit: yeah ken abuses mod powers quite vigorously.
oh and just asking them won't do anything. ken+mana lie about everything. you would need documented proof. but people have asked them to present that before, they just get really defensive and angry.

Not to gang hate but 20 tvs for 200+ ppl is pretty ridiculous. 10 people per tv = not much playing. Hopefully they double the number of tvs by tommorow.
