Rules
Fundamentals
1.) I am this games Lord, and as the Lord, have laid out several rules for my fellow brethren to follow. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, follows My teachings, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with furious anger those who chose to disobey my rules. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.
1a.) Those who fail to obey Me will suffer various fates, depending on my discretion. Punishments include: Modkills, forced replacement, temporary OR permanent mod votes, blacklisting, or having ones win condition altered to indie survivor.
2. Thy shalt know to follow the rules in their role PMs. Shall one not have been given a certain power in their roles, then thou shalt do no just action.
2a.) This especially includes communication with fellow brethren or heathens (non players) outside of the thread if I have not permitted it.
3. Once you have died you may no longer post in the thread. Thou art allowed one "Bah, go Town/Scum" post.
4. Thou shalt not act as a false Lord. Only thy Lord can change his creations. Anyone else who tries to change their own work through editing will have their edits reversed.
5. Thou shalt not be a *****. Personal attacks will not be tolerated, and will result in a warning. Multiple warnings (depending on my discretion) will result in replacment/modkill/modvotes (again, depending on my discretion). Calling a brother “dumb” or “scum” is not a personal attack.
6. Thou shalt not quote any Mod PMs (including your role pm) in this thread will result in a mod kill. Paraphrasing is fine.
7.) Thou may not quote logs of communication with other players. You are free to paraphrase.
7a.) Thou may not quote logs of hydra communication. You are free to paraphrase.
7b.) This rule only applies to posts in the thread. If you are allowed to communicate privately with other players you may freely quote mod communication there.
8. Thou shall not post in code/hidden text/foreign language/etc. This does not include bread crumbing, which is fine.
9. Thou shalt not try to cheat Me. Posting metadata about My PMs (i.e. images, message ID, etc.) is just an example of this. This includes screenshots. I will greatly punish those who wish to cheat me by cutting their ***** off and serving it onto them on a platter.
10. Thou may ask me questions by using the command: @MOD: Question
11.) If thou thinks thy Lord is testing their faith with one of His teachings, then thou can reveal their troubles with Me through PMs.
11b.) If thou art unclear about any of My rules, then thou art expected to ask the Me for clarification before taking any action which you believe may break a rule. If thou art unclear about any information in thy role PM, or the sample PM, or any mod communication, feel free to ask Me about it.
Game specific
1. I confirm the presence of a “town” fraction and at least one “mafia” fraction. I DO NOT confirm the presence of any other fractions.
2. Roles are assigned at random.
3. Thou shalt know that knowing the source material is not necessary to play My game. However, thou shall also know that the flavor will contain spoilers, and thou shall know that the flavor will have language some may find offensive, as well as some racial slurs in spirit with the movie. Thou hath been warned.
4. I confirm the absence of forsaken roles. Jesters, Survivors, Tree-Stumps, Contract Hitman, Rouge, Politician, Governor, or Mime are all confirmed not to be in My game. Everything else may be.
5. Thou shalt not act as a false Lord and post in My designated color.
6. Referring to role pm flavor in this game is forbidden.
7. Failure to send in Night actions will result in no action being taken.
Voting and lynching
1. Each Day, you may vote for a player to be lynched using a bold vote command. For example, Vote: Sworddancer.
2. Unvoting is not required.
2a.) However, if thou wish to unvote, use the command unvote. For example, Unvote Vote: Sold2.
3. No lynch is a viable lynch choice and a majority will end the Day without a lynch. For example, Vote: No Lynch.
5. The Day will end when a majority lynch is decided or a pre-set deadline has been reached.
6. If deadline is reached without a majority lynch decided, there will be no lynch.
Activity and Deadlines
1. You are required to post at least once every 48 hours. If you fail to do so, you will be prodded. An accumulation of too many prods (however much I think that is) will result in your replacement or a modkill depending on the circumstances.
2. If you are going to be V/LA, please notify both myself in private, and other players in the thread (or use the V/LA thread).
3. Remember that everyone else wants to play a good game of mafia, so if you don't think you will be able to commit to the game, either request replacement early or don't sign up!
4. No one will be mokilled for inactivity in an objectively identifiable LYLO/MYLO situation.
5. Each "Day" will have a ten day deadline. "Nights" will have a two day deadline.
6. After a lynch has been reached, a 24 hour Twilight will take place.
7. Twilight may be ended immediately if a majority of players request it to be so. To request a shorter Twilight, post the command: Request: End Twilight
