I'm curious about what kinds of special effects equipment has to offer outside of the standard boosts, so I figured I'd make a list of ones that I know of from various sources. I'm organizing them by type and coloring them based on whether or not the effect is positive, negative, or double edged..
While some of them sound pretty fun (Yet not gamebreaking), the equipment restrictions likely mean some characters might not have access to all of them.
Item related
* Smash Ball is more likely to move towards your character.
* Primary stats slowly increase as long as the Smash Ball is held.
* Harder to drop the Smash Ball.
* Recover 50% more from food.
* Recover 30% less from food.
* Gain five seconds of invincibility when food is consumed.
* Primary stats gradually increase for 15 seconds after consuming food.
* Increases the power and ammunition of shooting items by 50%
* Striking item power increased by 50%.
* Start the battle with a Mr. Saturn and deal more shield damage.
Offensive
* Special attacks that meteor smash are 50% stronger.
* Special attacks that launch upward are 30% stronger.
* Cause damage while dashing.
* Smash attacks can charge longer for up to 30% more damage then normal.
* Special attacks performed in the air are 15% stronger
* Speed and attack power gradually increase while at 0%.
Defensive
* Perfect shielding window is increased.
* Generate a damaging explosion when perfect shielding.
* Shield regenerates more slowly.
* Gain seven seconds of invincibility upon reaching 100% damage.
* Damage taken from thrown items decreased by 30%.
* Start with 30% damage, but damage taken is reduced by 20%.
* Gradually reduces your damage (By 2% about every four seconds)
* Respawn invincibility is three times longer.
* No respawn invincibility.
* Easier to escape from being grabbed, buried, paralyzed, etc.
* Damage taken while airborne reduced by 25%.
* Reduces your damage when KOing an opponent.
* Ledge grab range is increased.
* Gain super armor against weak attacks while charging smashes.
Mobility
* Ground speed increased by 50%, but traction is reduced.
* Walking speed increased by 30%.
* Horizontal air speed increased by 25%
* Horizontal air speed reduced by 20%
* Jump height increased by 30%
* Jump height reduced by 30%
* Double jump height reduced by 30%
Other
* Receive a mercy Final Smash more frequently.
* 50% chance when entering Sudden Death to have only 100% damage.
