MK is only so good because he has soooooooooooo many options. I like the 35 grab limit on MK just because it limits one his stalling options.
I think there should be a rule with ledge grabs too because what if someone is winning and pressurgin the piss out of you off stage and you just keep on ledge grabbing until he slips up? You aren't stalling in that situation you're trying to get an advantage while waiting on him to make a mistake. Like every game isn't going to be the same so they can't all be interesting to watch.

if you begin performing the perfect planking where Metaknight is completely invulnerable the entire time, that should be banned in all cases. a ref would just have to know that that's whats occurring. ledge camping is fine, lots of characters do it. but planking (when performed correctly) is not fine, as metaknight is literally untouchable while it's happening (just the same as when he cape glitches...i make this comparison all the time)

the idea of a character in a game that has no bad or even EQUAL matchups is pretty absurd.
but not ban worthy in an of it self. i always point to pikachu in smash 64, who had winning matchups over all the other characters. but clearly wasn't ban worthy.
the thing that some people are asking tho, is could the community be strengthened and be made more diverse if MK was banned? that's an interesting question

Tbh, the only G&W I know would probably win either.
I dunno, I play Luigi as my number 3. He's insanely fun, but I have no idea how anyone can play a character lower than B tier.

We do care cause we wanna make it not suck.
MK being banned would make brawl more diverse. But in the long run I think it would be bad for the game. We need some stupid rule to limit MK so people will use other characters and get them on MKs playing field.

I would much rather see him banned outright. This has already been said, but the only way this could have happened was if Nintendo patched their games. Since they won't/can't, the only thing that could be done to reasonably limit him would be to ban him.
I don't know if he deserves a ban, but if he was banned then Brawl would definitely be more diverse.

I see why Pit is so high on the Japanese tier list. He only has like 3 bad matchups total. IM TAKIN PIT TO THE TOP

Agreed. As long as people can beat M2K with other characters, Metaknight will not be banned on the national level.
However, I can't help but notice that in AL we do not have a huge MK problem. We have a few people that have picked him up recently, but the best MK player in AL is Ragnarok and he still gets beaten by non-MKs in our tournaments. Unless we start getting MK players that stall out the match on the ledge, I don't think banning him is necessary at all.

Every hit is a touch of death in N64 Smash, and there's no real counterpick system in that game.
I don't understand why beating someone who didn't even get Top 8 at the last Pound tournament is an important point as far as the banning of a character goes.

It's important because it shows that even though the character may be infallible, the players obviously are not. It shows that people who do not use MK still have a decent chance at winning.
nice1, dangr, will underscore, moogle, munkus, who we lost for brawl who were really great players and are still capable of making the pr if these guys were still serious then the pr still trust me would not look like it does now! i love playing with you guys its just its not competitive enough everybody who goes to the tournies now we all know and are names in alabama! we need diversity which obv we dont have and never will you want great brawl so cal , florida, texas new jersey, new york and etc!
And with that logic, you think you can get good at MvC in Alabama. You're funny.
Try playing against Fox on Dreamland then turning around and playing Fox on Hyrule. He's much scarier on Hyrule.

Those places all have huge populations, so obviously they are going to have a lot of competition. I'm pretty sure Moogle quit brawl because he prefers Melee. Dan just didn't feel like spending money anymore when he could play brawl at home for free. I don't know what happened to Munkus, Will_, or Nice1. I suspect many of these guys would be rusty if they came back, not to say they wouldn't still be good.

i think its safe to say that m2k is the best metaknight in the united states
so the fact that he is able to be beaten is a good argument against banning metaknight (if your argument is that MK breaks the game)
but as i said, the idea that banning MK could make the community stronger and more diverse is a entirely different discussion.

it really doesnt matter i mean i play brawl but for fun meaning ill go to tournies when given the chance but it seems like nobodys willing to travel anymore? if people in alabama would put more effort into holding tournies at least 1 every 2 months than this community would be alot better! my game is mvc3 now so i mean the scence is wonderful im happy with it so that is my main focus! i love fast 2 - d traditional fighting games! arcana heart 3 melty, guilty gear there fun! even tho i suck at them lol!
