My team got disqualified for leaving for food really early in the brackets. We left as soon as one of our matches was over. I hadn't eaten anything in over twenty-four hours, because the TO wanted us to come to the venue two hours earlier than normal. I got back to the hotel at 3, and it was an hour drive from the venue. Give me a break.

I was waiting for over two hours to play my fourth Singles match, when I heard that the venue was supposed to be closing in the next hour. I asked someone about it, and they said to get NinjaLink. A bystander mentioned that he was out getting food...so they waited on him.

Top tier.

I was gritting my teeth whenever I remembered about the tuscaloosa tournament that could have been. No use regretting it tho, we all got home safe and can make the next AL tournament.

@ Alpha: yeah, that's the sad truth of it.

Oh yeah, what do y'all think about this anti-planking rule:

Someone (I think maybe it was Edreese) once suggested that the rule against "No planking" should be rewritten to "No one may grab the edge more than x times in a match", the number he suggested was 70, a number apparently borrowed from Japanese rule sets. This means enforcing planking would be easy - you simply check the "edge grab" statistic at the end of the game and if its over 70 then the opponent gets an automatic win.

It's from Alphazealot. Biglou, Reflex--well pretty much our whole car was complaining about planking and this looked good. I actually did play a meta in friendlies that planked, but I'm sure there are ways around that in a ditto.

EDIT: From Reflex in the cott4 shoutouts thread:

The game has already deteriorated as a result of planking. You guys are crazy. <3

It's gotten to the point where if certain characters are on the ledge, I walk to the other side and say, "Really, it's okay. I'm not going to attack you."

Some of those characters aren't even particularly threatening on the ledge, but I don't feel like falling asleep in the middle of a match. I like having fun while playing video games.

Melee sounds good! Haven't played that in a little over a year. x] Maybe you could possibly put on a show of competitive melee.
Oh and Cheap, could I possibly get your first name? It would sound more convincing than "I'm going to this guy's house with some of his friends".

And Reflex, you might see your stuff sooner if we head off to the next waba. After actually playing there, it seems like a nice place to have a definite monthly for AL/GA.

You don't consider Ganondorf black? Plenty of other people to, it makes Smash more socially acceptable and Obama plans to give smashers a stimulus thanks to it.
