hey Ricky, if you don't use TAS when MAKING the combos, how can you be so sure your attacks connect after the training dummy hits a wall?

back in the day, I asked antd to check my combos involving a wall with his TAS skills. i even had to change my falcononfalcon because even though it looked like it connected, the training dummy could have escaped in an earlier version of it

^Yeah some of those combos looked suspiciously like the victim was out of hitstun sometimes.

I just played several times, and have seen videos of combos, yours, prince and the majority of members here.
And... I don't use Spacing, that why I only focus on make Combos.

Oh god.
Ricky, you can ask me on msn to translate questions and answers for you, if you want me to. Because this is going nowhere right now.
A bit more on topic, I also think some of the combos don't really connect after hitting the wall, but that's a minor detail. I kind of hate wall combos and love the video anyways.

Awesome vid. I hate wall combos too. Someone should make a combo vid without any.

It's like in the middle of a complex combo you have someone doing the same repetitive easy crap against a wall for 30 seconds, it just ruins it lol. Down with wall combos!

do you use save states or TAS to create the combos?

I used to, but now I start the combo from zero every time. And no, I'm not talking about performing here, I'm talking about creating.

I'm not sure. I just trust my eyes.

(Thanks to Tambor for translate xD)

The fact that he claims he uses keyboard and pulls of those combos,
I defs think its TAS.

i don't think anything he did was beyond the reach of keyboard

you just can't do platdrop ff u-airs
I just did several platform drop -> ff uairs (off the 2nd highest platform on hyrule) with the following settings:

100% range, 0% deadzone, nrage input plugin v2

Freakin' Great Vid. So many good combos. I love the last Luigi one and pretty much all the Fox. Although Jiggs was my favorite oddly enough lol.

the significance is knowing that they connect entirely
Pretty much the reason I don't really use walls/don't upload some combos if there's even a possibility they could escape. Unfortunately the jab test doesn't solve all problems. Maybe Blue Yoshi can help test stuff since he's pro TAS now.

yeah it's just a matter of entering THE PRACTICE MODE ZONE where your techskill is buffed in exchange for forgetting about spacing and prediction and all that junk

i thnk its just as much about timing off pressing A as well as how far to tilt your stick. obv if your A timing is good it wont matter how much you tilt your stick
i was watching these videos and porn at the same time, still dont know which one made me orgasm

I can do dk platform uair combos (reg sh uairs to plat drop uairs) with about 80% consistency for each platdrop. Took a long ****ing while, but thats all I practiced for about a good long week.

So yeah, I definitely don't put this past a keyboard player non-tas. Ricky is just a beast imo

You are trying to say that people who practice in training mode have no spacing/mindgames in a real match. As if the action itself drained real strategic skill from you in place of tech skill. That's what it sounded like you were alluding to. Was I way off?

yes, you were

im saying that when you're in practice mode there is no need to space etc, so you don't think about that and just focus on techskill

oh lol. I get what you were saying now. As in drop cancel stuff in training mode-vs-in match where you have to space and prepare and stuff.

wow. ok. I feel silly. I'm going to bed now.
