Another new Falcon...video critique please (16 videos)

I just uploaded 16 friendlies from a really long session with Zen and I'd like some critiquing from the experienced Falcons.

I've only been playing Melee competitively for about 5 or 6 months so my tech-skill is still very lacking. Zen on the other hand, has been playing since 2004 and consistently places among the top 5 in Toronto tournaments...so be gentle XD. His main is Falco but he plays most characters pretty competently.

Christ this is alot of vids. Btw half this **** is advice that i need to take myself lol. So here we go.

Fox: You didnt grab as much as you probably should have, grab to tech chase is one of the best falcon tactics there is take advantage. Id replace alot of the raptor boosts with something else like dd neutral airs or more grabs. There was enough accuracy in your play style to me. Also work on spacing which is something all falcon players are constantly working on.

Marth: pretty good. lots of baiting and taking advantage of his mistakes. Lots of chaingrabs it was good. Id be careful with double jumping and jumping in general. It may have worked on this guy some but a smart marth player would intercept and next thing you know you're off screen with no jumps. Although it is a tactic that has some use id just be careful is all.

Shiek is my worst matchup so i dont know much about the matchup myself...all i can say is space and bait that mother f*cker. Outsmarting shiek is the only way to Me that she can be beat.

Falco: haha id just refer to the Falco Falcon matchup thread theres some good tips there. But basically its about patience looking for holes in the barrage of lazers and staying in a range hes not comfortable with and techchasing the crap out of him usually with grabs. Once you get that grab or hit stay on him till hes dead then do it again and if you must approach do it with neutral air. In your matches you run into the lazers to much learn to shield them get out of the way when he finally approaches and move around on platforms. Hardest falcon matchup for sure.

peach: Gotta be able to hit her without being hi hahaha thats all i got. Usually means spacing timing blah blah the usual bs.

falcon: is simple and the most fun. Tech chases and grabs and the occasional neutral air. ITs a matchup you can experiment with to me. Do what feels right and works effectively.

Ganon: Combo that f*g.

Overall just work on reading better and being more accurate. Your pretty good especially for 6 months of experience. Sorry i wrote so much i was bored...
