Time: 5:00pm
Fee: $10 (Singles) $20 (Doubles)
Format: Singles AND Doubles
(Which ever we have more players for will go first)

Average player count: 27+ players!

Best of 3 matches Sets. Finals Best of 5.
1. Opponents choose their characters for the first match *
2. Opponents start the stage striking procedure
3. Each player may announce one stage to be banned for counterpicks of the set
4. The first game is played, using the stage chosen during step 2
5. The loser of the previous match announces the next match's stage from either the Starter Stage List or the Counter Stage List
6. The winner of the previous match chooses their character
7. The loser of the previous match chooses their character
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for all proceeding matches
*Double blind character selection may be called for the first match

Hey all you potential brawlers out there, clear your schedules for the upcoming Friday tournament on October 24th at 5:00pm!! Battlegrounds is now advertised on both smashboards.com and allisbrawl.com simultaneously to attract even more entrants. In addtion flyers will be posted in the local high school to get as much publicity as possible. Prepare for an awesome turnout! ;p

No offense, But we have been running tournaments on long island for a bit. Posting links in other threads is kinda frowned apon and i wouldnt do it to you. If you would like to contact me about cross promoting, feel free to PM me.

yes this is true but he is probably known as the best director for anything NY Smash related. i understand you been hosting tournies to but he was just trying to help out by bringing the best of the best in NY that is if you can also come to his which is on a different day.

i am def going to his tourny and i am thinking of going to this one to i will have to see. WAIT A SECOND?? Mitsurugi dude are u Armando???

Yeah guys hit this up and lightxdream were you at Inui's NJ tournament a few weeks ago? I could have sworn hearing you were there. I should probably connect smashboard names with faces more often ;p

Alright guys seeing as its the week leading up to the event I'm gonna go ahead and print out flyers today, and try to have them posted in the high school for the next school week, even if I have to do it myself. lol

Guys if you are from Long Island this is the TOURNAMENT TO BE! Support local tournaments by giving this one a big turnout!

Certainly wouldn't mind people from off the Island, either. Come on!

too many gay/stupid stages that make anyone aside from like falco/ddd/mk/pika unusable

you should take out green hill zone, and yoshi's island (pipes) as counterpicks. if you ever played this game before, then you would know why.

money is on the line! why cant you just use the rules from previous tourneys?

Don't let this counterpick issue discourage you guys from coming, this tourny is in the hands of the people and if the majority disagrees with this list, I'm sure something will be done. I'll make sure of it :)

ya he's the captain of my team, but you dont need to main him to know how to chaingrab on banned stages ftw..Battlegrounds is not local for me, i dont want to come out for a brokeass tourney, especially since its hard enough getting there on a friday afternoon with no ride. If i dont go to this i want to hear about how lame the tourney was with banned stages on lol..i'll see yall at castle golf if not this one, go to that too!

if will runs the tourney the stages will be changed, also there are way worse rulesets than these lol
