Out of Obscurity
The difference between Smash and traditional fighting games is that virtually everything in a traditional fighting game is programmed to happen the way it does, combos, strategies, its all too-well done by the creators, and you just can't stop it. Smash on the other hand, has a MUCH more free environment, and a MUCH for free playstyle. Its pretty hard to discover something that effects the entire metagame with your single discovery, but it has happened so many times in the Smash series its not even funny.
Theres still room left for anti-MK strategies that make MK worse and worse against each character, just as he has been doing ever since he claimed the #1 spot.
On the other hand, there is also wiggle room for MK to discover new strategies to deal with each character more effeciently than before.
We may be 2 years into the game, but you still can't predict what the competative scene wil look like in another year or two. You can't see into the future to know if MK is banworthy, you never will be able to. You can't just ban him on a whit thinking that he is broken now. You just have to wait for that discovery that crosses the tipping point in either direction, away from the MK Ban, or with it.
We're dealing with something that no Tekken Pro could ever predict, nor M2K, nor anyone. You just have to let the scene go with the flow, and see what happens.
I'll laugh if some MK-obliterating technique is found that all characters can use is found this week. It'll be perfectly worthy to come now with all these Anti-MK threads.
