this is kinda random, and i'm not sure if this is where i should post this but, i have 4.2 + homebrew i've had it for a few months now. if you update the wiishop is it going to get rid of homebrew?

Is there a code for unlocking all songs? I used the "music comes out of super scope" code, but I don't get any new music anymore. I don't have all the songs, though, so I'm not sure why I'm not getting anything new. So is there an unlock all songs code?

How do you add more then 256 code lines to a gct file. If you use code manager then you get the 256 lines maximum error and if I try to use brawlplustweaker then I always get an error like

Error.
Could not parse:
*file location*
Code is invalid.

Also Im using pal so that might be why brawlplustweaker says the code is invalid?

Just wondering how I can add more codes in, thanks in advance =).

Put a gameconfig.txt in the root of your sd card. the gameconfig can be easily found, I believe there is one in the Brawl+ pre-made package. At least, that's where I got mine. I don't know about pal though, but it should work nonetheless.

I already have a gameconfig.txt ><. Whats it there for anyways, the gct that came in the premade package has more than 256 lines of codes so there is definitively a way, I just want to add in some more codes that aren't already there.

My music keeps messing up. My SD card plays the music normally, and then starts playing the in game music really fast.

If I keep playing after that, then the game completely ignores my SD card(as if it isn't in the wii). I have to reset the game and remove my SD and put it back in in order to get file replacement to work.

Any way to fix this?

If you want to *** more codes to an already existing gct, you should use a gct editor or put the text file in code manager and create your own gct.

[Hopefully this is the correct section to post this in. My fault if it isn't.]

Alright, to make it clear I've use the search function to try to find my answer, although it proved useless. Ight, this is my issue.

Recently I was looking into texture hacks that I can apply to characters. Well, I found this Pit texture that was in .pac format. This format is somewhat vague to me. I know as much that it is needed for transforming characters. Well that's all good and dandy, although, I found this texture specifically here.

It's a Pit texture:
Well, so I go and download it, put it in the proper directory: SD:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\fighter\pit and I have the file named: FitPit05.pac.

Well, I go into Ocarina and activate these codes:
Default Settings Modifier
Unrestricted Pause camera
Unrestricted Replay Camera

run my game as I would, play Pit, get on stage and he doesn't have the texture applied!

What am I doing wrong? Am I missing another file, or am I missing another code to run .pacs? Anyone has a clue on this? This is truly has been very frustrating! :mad:

Sorry if you didnt unsterand ><. I want to make my own gct in code manager by just adding in a few more codes to the 4.1 pal plussery but then it says you cant have more than 256 lines of code so you cant make the gct ><.

Bionic Sonic will probably lock up this thread because you didn't ask this question in the Texture Database/How-To thread. So i'll give you a quick run-down before he does.

The .pac file works fine. Perfectly. For transforming characters and single-player mode, that is. It ain't gonna show up in Versus.

You have to change the .pac file into a .pcs file. If you are using the program BrawlBox, you can open a .pac file, then save it as a .pcs file, and it should work fine. I have no idea if manually renaming it works, but you're welcome to try.

Hope I got this right.

Might as well help out before it gets locked. If there is a PCS file along with the PAC, you will need that. Otherwise, try all the different costumes (If you already haven't) on Pit. Sometimes this happens with me.

If none of this works, you could try opening the file in Brawlbox and seeing if anything is wrong with it.

Manualy renameing it doesnt work, it will just freeze when u select the character.
Yeah, that's correct, I renamed it from .pac to .pcs and it froze my Wii.

It's the Fallen Pit texture and its link is just to a .pac file.

Saving it as a pcs should work, just manualy renameing it doesnt. Not sure why but if you save it as .pcs it should work =)

Ight, I'm running BrawlBox now. Wii's busy at the moment though.

Edit: Alright, I ran BrawlBox and had it save as .pcs. Let's see if it'll work now.

Does anybody know how to change the lighting in a stage; particularly Battlefield (Or just how to change the colour of the sky). I believe this to be possible after seeing Moosehunter's "Pychadelic Battlefield", but if anyone can tell me how to do this, that would be great. I plan on stopping the day/night system (likley through BrawlBox) and to give a lighting that somehow causes the stage to further resemble Phendrana Drifts, as per a texture hack I am working on.

I was playing with brawlbox and I was swapping chars with different fitmotions to see how funny they would look (lol anyone with Gkoopa) anyways I then stumbled across something I really liked; Fox with Peach, looked awesome. Well I proceeded to put the file in his folder, and give him a bunch of new animations to make him all snazzy and non peachy. Finally I go to test it and it doesn't load past the stage select. wut. Anyways here is the fitmotion I made, load it through a fox texture. Can you help me make this work?

I was told to post this here. Anyway, I got Brawl (PAL) for Christmas and am trying to get textures working. I'm using a code a friend gave me and it's working for him, yet when I try to load the game with the code, the game doesn't even load, I just get a black screen. Anyone know what might be up?

Would it be possible to make codes so that, when you press the L trigger, it does Utilt, and if you're shielding with R and you hold down L, it tilts your shield up.

If anyone would make these codes for me or direct me to someone who would, I'd be so thankful.


I already asked this but I didn't get an answer. Is this possible? Could someone please do it for me?

Does anyone know where the file that changes the Character's name IN BATTLE is?

I'm talking about how it says the character's name under their portrait in battle. I wanna change that to something else, but which file controls it?

try de fragmenting your sd card. it happens from time to time

Quick question if someone could help. I downloaded a texture pack a long time ago and it had all the character portraits included. Since then Ive deleted all the textures, but the portraits from the pack I downloaded are still there, how do I go about removing them? Thanks.

I need a little help here.

Everything was working fine until I updated the Wii to 4.2u

Of course, that removed homebrew channel, but that was easily reinstalled back onto it.

The problem is now, Brawl+ works just fine, I think, my biggest clue being that ganon can jump again after his warlock dive in the air, and that the character selection screen is still edited.

But now my textures, both character and stage, and also ,my custom music no longer seems active. Now this also happened in the midst of transferring data to a new SD card, so could it be possible some files got corrupted on the way over?

Oh, And my custom PSA characters such as avatar ness do not work either.



Edit: nvm, found out that it cannot work with SDHC 4 gig, for some, inane reason.

A few general Brawl+ Questions

Hey, I recently began experimenting with Brawl+, but I'm realizing that I don't really know what I'm doing. I've figured out how to add custom costumes and custom stage textures (mainly because the hombrew "updatifier" app sets all the folders up). However, I've tried doing other things, and I'm getting stuck due to my ignorance. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me out with the following questions, or at least direct me to a thread that guides me through it.


1. How do I play on SSE stages (selecting them from the Stage Select Screen)? And I heard that doing this messes up something with replays? Is that fixed/are there any other bugs?

2. How do I add custom music tracks (.brstm files I've already downloaded)?

3. I believe that I have some character portraits downloaded, which will let me see the custom costume on the character select screen, and as their icon in-game. Where do I put these files on my SD card to use them?

4. I have several custom stages with texture hacks. I added one, and it runs with the texture fine. The texture I used, for example, is called STGEDIT_1.pac. My question is how do I differentiate multiple textures to match their corresponding custom stages? And can I mix regular custom stages without textures with the textured ones on my SD card, or will it mess up which .pac file goes to which stage?

(that last question might have been a little hard to understand)

Thanks! But could you elaborate on "Dantarion's Clone Engine"? Maybe post a link? If it's a code, I don't even know how to add it to my existing RSBE01.gct file that I simply got from the Brawl+ website.

And as for the portraits, I simply downloaded them with a texture pack I found while searching these forums. It was called the Texture Mega Pack if you wanna try searching for it, but unfortunately, I don't know the first thing about editing them. They appear to be ready to go. I just don't know where to put them on my SD card.


I'd still appreciate any help if anyone else wants to put in the effort!
