You may just be playing against very lazy opponents, but honestly you don't want to pummel so much, especially against DK If he ground breaks, he has a free dsmash on you T.T

I think you air dodge to pick up bananas too much, especially when your on the ledge...You might want to mix in instant throws too. Other than that, good job reading rolls, perfect shielding, etc.

Perfect time to ask this: Has anyone put any thought into/tried Glide Tossing -> Dtilt (Mostly against heavy characters, Snake, DDD, Wolf) rather than smashes since you can followup with Diddy Hump, Fair, or Grab and save your Dsmash/Fsmash for KOs...

He said to pummel. Not pummel so much as to risk your little kong's life.

Generally 1 pummel every 45%~ is good. You can hear if they are mashing or not so you may be able to sneak in 1-3 pummels. Just listen for the mashing.

PS:
I've broken out of Diddy's grab at 105% just after the 2nd pummel. So be careful. Some people know how to mash. :3

You need to come down to SoCal tourneys.... or go to Active Gamers: Coast2Coast.... the only good Diddy I've faced is Dao (I haven't gotten to brawl iCe or diddyknight or w/e) and you are the only other good Diddy I know on the WC....

Yah, that's what I do. Get in as many pummels as you feel you safely can.... lol

Also I'm always grab happy. XD

EDIT: Watched the beginning of the Snake vid with Sal. Cruddy Snake, but when you get him off the stage follow him, he can't really do anything to you.

Pummeling's good, but you've gotta realize that against an opponent putting ALL of their effort into the match, you're not gonna get 2 pummels off at 50% hell, even against me (and trust me, I'm no Reflex) even one pummel at 50% and I'm gonna break out. Myself being a Diddy main, that isn't that big of a problem.

BUT

when you're up against a DK who knows how to break quickly, then you've got a problem, because DK gets a free Dsmash on ALL of the cast minus Bowser (who sucks anyway).



Just saying, you've gotta look at the percent before going pummel crazy

I've actually been doing this for a while now. It's really effective at lower percents and especially against heavy characters. It's easy to do, you just need to remember it.
