Changing regions

Been stuck fighting the same people lately on 3DS. Once in awhile I'll get a Japanese opponent. Only sometimes, very rarely. Is there a way to make it more frequent? Change regions so I can increase my chances of fighting new opponents in case there's issues with the US servers.

i'm sorry man but i think it depends on where you're located, for example if you play in the UK the server searches for someone close to you to reduce lagg, takes a bit too long to send inputs from the other side from the world to your 3ds (and vice versa) so that's why you won't see japanese people very often
