1.Sonic: Personally I don't want Sonic in Brawl but at this point I really think that he will be in
2.Bowser Jr. : I think that there are enough Mushroom Kingdom characters allready, but Jr. has been pushed in every single Mario Game since Sunshine and with all of his appearances he has legitimately established a very possible and unique moveset (not to mention a Cult Following)
3.Dedede: King Dedede has been an offensive staple of the Kirby Series since the start, he has a great personality that would fit in with the quirkyness of Brawl, and he has a massive Hammer so that has to be an absolute plus

I am sure there are more people but I think it may just be my personal bias.

I think the poll was mainly to draw attention to certain characters. To see what the fans wanted, though I wouldn't take people with 1 vote that seriously I mean ffs I think LINK's UNCLE was on there.

Outside of those confirmed, these are the ones I think are more or less givens:

Captain Falcon (Duh)
Luigi (Duh)
Ganondorf (Duh)
Marth (1st FE Lord, one of the most popular, a veteran - no reason to leave, every reason to stay.)
Mr. Game & Watch (Icon pattern, no reason to leave.)
Mewtwo (About as iconic as non-Pikachu Pokèmon get, closest thing that series will get to a villain.)
Sheik (From the most popular Zelda game, a unique character from Melee with no reason to leave.)

Others have some doubts, but I expect the return of Falco, Jigglypuff, and Ness as well.

Newcomers:
King Dedede (Major villain of the Kirby series and incredibly popular addition.)
Krystal (Has become bigger in her series than anyone save Fox alone.)
Some AC character (Unique icon = character.)
Sonic (Yuji Naka requested him to be in Melee, hes the single most fan-requested character and Sakurai and Miyamoto have confirmed it - the only thing that could stop him is if Sega/Sonic Team said no.)

Others I still have doubts on, though theres plenty I'm expecting and hoping for.
