Creating .dat from other games' models?

I have some models that I would like to use for Melee M-ex costumes. However, these are obviously not in the required .dat format required.

How would you go about creating .dat files from these other models? For reference, my models have the following files in them:
  • .SMD
  • .DAE
  • .FBX
  • .PNG (textures)
where the .FBX files are the untextured models.

I don't know much about this so if it's not as simple as this then any other resources on the subject would be appreciated.
