Thanks again, Shikenshu for creating these awesome graphics. Personally, I like the last one the most, since it looks the cleanest and would probably be the easiest to do :)
Kite, make sure you choose a template and provide more specific details to how you would like the shell and the buttons done. If you would like a black or white PS3 stick in place of either stick, let me know. Thanks

Well i reall like 1 & 3. maybe 1 a little more.
only changes on 1. would be the Z button red. the nintendo logo red. no letters around the buttons. and if possible clean up the grey around the buttons. maybe either make just the A & B buttons red with grey background

Unfortunately, I don't think I can put in the start or select text on since they are so small. I do not own a decal printer or spray gun capable of that detail. Im sorry about that, I know it is a crucial part of the controller. I MIGHT be able to put the Nintendo on, but it is a stretch, and will not come out perfect. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience, but detail and decals are spray paints #1 weakness. Tell me what you think and if you could live without the text.
I can provide other custom colored sticks at request, or two gamecube sticks

I can color the analog plastic cap under the rubber you put your finger on, put I cant paint the rubber, since it will wear off over time. Im not sure if there is a paint in existence that could easily bond to the rubber tip. I can try the nintendo for you, ill let you now how it turns out

Seems pretty simple, Ill try it out sometime this week on the nunchuk stick and the c-stick. The nunchuk also does not have as much rubber or grip lines, so it will probably work better

There are black classic controllers I believe, these house 2 black sticks (same as nunchuk). If you can find a cheap one, it's a nice way to get black sticks.

SmashBoards is finally up again :) But why does my name have to be just one letter to long:confused: ? FAIL  (but I am digging the new animations, especially this 1 :falconmelee:)
Kite91, I have bought all the paint and I have the control sticks, now I just need to wait for the snow and cold to let up.
In the meantime, I have an orange controller with a custom PS3 bright orange analog stick available on eBay right now. Check it out here :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/130853603790?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Heres a pic

Works great, I think it turned out good for just a quick little mod. If you would like any one of my products I am selling to your specifications (different colored buttons, different stick, etc.) Let me know, and I can work on it and get you the controller you want!

Can you explain how to do the PS3 stick mod? Do you solder a new PS3 stick assembly onto the board or do you just replace the stick itself?

Where do you get all the extra parts (PS3/Wii sticks, etc)? Are they just from old controllers you have lying around? I'm interested in getting some Ps3 sticks to mess with but I'm not sure if I really wanna buy a PS3 controller just for scrap parts.

I have a variety of colors of PS3 sticks. I can give u a set to your liking for a cheaper price than buying a scrap controller. I can also throw in a triwing or any other accessory parts u may need for the project. PM me, we can work a deal out there, if u would like

most likely im not gonna use the ps3 stick/nunchuck stick unless it looks nicer. but i also wanna know how much would it be for another custom controller. just the shell. no buttons or anything. im interested in either a green one or a baby blue one. most likely be buying the nes first as long as my money doesnt have to be spend on anything else.

O CRAP, ITS THE 100TH POST :happysheep: (You guys saw the random rainbow sheep coming, don't lie :smirk:)
If you get both, I could do $80 Shipped together. Does this sound ok? Again, it is all subject to change.
It may be a while until I can get crackin on the NES, it is very cold
I could paint the shell very soon, tho. What color green?
This kind

or the brighter kind (In the PS3 Stick)

Thanks, let me know what you want! Also, I bought the classic controller for the sticks, I think they will make your controller look a lot cooler. This is what happened to the classic controller I bought! We will see how the NES Controller turns out and if the black sticks are a good fit

I have a painters thread for all of our painters and people who want to discuss stick mods over on this forum now! It is open to any discussion related to Custom Jobs! Link here:
http://smashboards.com/threads/334310/

Please check it out, and bring questions regarding sticks and such to the new thread!
This thread will continue to focus on my own custom works and what I am selling and can do for you all. It would be greatly appreciated if you ask any specific mod/paint questions you have through PM or the new Custom Jobs Discussion thread Above! Thanks for all the support, I will keep up the work for you all

I might be able to order, but if I were to put the tan circle on the Lost Melee Luigi costume and take out the L and put a "G" in it, how much would that cost?

I'm sort of confused with your question. What are u referring to when you say lost melee, where do u want a tan circle, and why a G? Sorry, I just don't understand what you are asking me. I could make another model to your specifications, wavebird or classic, just help me understand what u want

Hey, I have four listings up selling some used gamecube controllers. I did not feel that their cosmetic or internal conditions (stick issues) were appopriate for a custom paint job, so I put them up for auction. They all still work fine, no major issues with the controller(s) functionality or shell. Thanks for all of the support and keeping this forum on the top page! I appreciate it!

I meant the Lost Melee Luigi costume. I want the tan circle over the "Nintendo Gamecube", and I want a G because my name starts with G

Are you talking about his gray and green outfit? How big do you want the circle, and do you want to keep the G green? What color would you like the shells to be, and do you want any custom sticks or buttons?

Yes i am talking about that outfit. I want the circle between the start button and the top of the controller.
I don't want any custom sticks and buttons,

and what color do u think would be best for the shell?

I think that the dark green I used for the luigi on the top and a light gray on the bottom (NES gray) would look the best. The reciever/controller plug in should be green, and if it is a receiver, with the tan G emblem in it. Could you fill out the order form I am about to PM you? It will help me understand what you want. I can then shoot you a price
Here is the Luigi Controller complete!

I had to sand down the inside of the battery compartment so the cover would fit. It doesn't look bad from the outside, tho.

I have a RED/GOLD controller planned to be released next weekend, along with the completed Falcon Controller! Stay tuned for those works. Kite91, I am working on your controller too, I will provide some pictures when it starts to come together

I will also be selling more custom stick Orange Spice Controllers. I just bought three earlier today. Please PM or reply if you are interested, and want a specific color PS3/Nunchuk control stick or if you are interested in a GameCube/Nunchuk/PS3 stick in place of the C-Stick!

I plan on creating Wario and Mario editions of that same Wavebird Controller. I have a Customer for them. Please let me know if you are interested in one too. I could do a Waluigi at request, but It would be harder to sell since Waluigi isn't the most popular character...

I will have a Red and Gold Controller, no stencils, for sale soon. I am letting the paint cure right now so I can assemble it.

Update 2/25 : I have a Custom Wii Pro Controller for sale on eBay right now. Straight out the box. It has two PS3 glow in the dark sticks. Works great. Check it out!

I got a bit of stuff to talk about in this post. Stay with me :

Kite91 : I have started on your controller. It is very cold and difficult to keep working on it. I still have A LOT of work to do. So far, I have the gray back shell and the black portion of the front shell down.

I have 3 New Controllers : 2 Wii and one GameCube. I think you guys are going to like the GameCube. It is posted above, in the Selling post.

I have a new Emblem :) Took me a while to position those controllers.

Thanks for all the support! If you have placed an order, please know I am working on it!!!

Sounds good. What do you mean as "both of them as left sticks"? Do you want two gamecube sticks? I can only paint the bottom of gamecube sticks (plastic part) but I do have white and black nunchuk sticks I could put in, they are similar to gamecube sticks. What color do you want the chord to be?
Also, I hope you understand new controllers cost $40+, I would get one in good condition instead to save some money

BTW, check your Private Messages, I would like to continue this conversation there.

I dig the Luigi Wavebird a lot, and I think you posting your projects the way you are is a great thing and is actually pretty interesting to look at. I especially like that you basically made the Club Nintendo design for the Luigi controller, they are very attractive and hard to find. Keep up the good work.

As for the control sticks, when someone says they want "two left sticks" they mean they prefer having a control stick on the right to the c-stick shell. For performance issues it doesn't matter too much, but changing the control stick to either a c-stick or a Wii stick do, and have opposite effects. The cstick is shorter and thus takes slightly less movement of your thumb (at the expense of grip) and the Wii sticks are slightly longer, making your thumb move more for the same input. It is something worth noting for anyone wanting to use these for tournament play. I actually advise against the Wii stick for Melee, but that's my own personal experience and bias talking.

I discussed that with him in pm. Ill remember that, usually ppl address it as an analog stick. It is nice to know you like the stuff I have been making. I will be making a Mario, Wario, and an unreleased waluigi version. For now they are for a customer, but I may make more replicas if anyone is interested.

The PS3 stick is a bit longer than the gamecube and provides the best control, and it is a bit easier to jam.

Each stick has its pros and cons. Gamecube shorter stick is more sensitive but more difficult to roll than the PS3, so they both cancel out, personal preference wins. I personally prefer PS3. I also advise against the nunchuk stick for smash, too, but it comes in color variation and some ppl may prefer it or use it for other games.

BTW, Check out My falcon Controller!!! Bidding starts at $.99!
