Try it out then. If your whole goal playing the CPU is to never attack first (and only punish their whiffs) it is impossible to fall into an auto-pilot mindset. You'll be conditioning yourself to be continuously aware of what your opponent is doing.

That means your punish is bad <_< lol. The point is to punish their whiffed attacks, if they're able to act before your punish hits them, then you're either too late to punish, or that punishing option doesn't work in that situation.

Apparently the 8th is MTG celebration day so I'm pretty much being forced to push my tournament AGAIN to either the 22nd or the 29th. I might be able to get the tournament on a Sunday but people are busy so that's super de-hype.

Edit: I forgot Rev 13 is on the 22nd, so I'm now taking the 29th for this, I'm quite annoyed, this is the SECOND time my tournament has been pushed back.
