public transit should take an hour and a half more to antioch if you start san jose rather than sfo, but it's not really more difficult to find the way, it's like one additional switching busses and one additional switching trains i think, but it's not too much more time, like i said maybe just above an hour. if you go by car (which you probably won't), you need to drive like 20-30 minutes longer

yeah, don't fly into san jose. an hour? it might take at least 3 to get to pittsburg


edit: i guess it'd be faster to take caltrain to san jose and then take the bus to the bart but that would still prob take at least 2 hours

the 181 alone is 45 min from san jose to fremont and the bart is like 1.5 hours? plus w/e waiting time it is to catch buses and trains, and however long it takes to get from the airport to san jose

i was going to say, obviously it's not one hour up to antioch, but considering that it's two hours from sfo, it's not terribly longer. if you can save like $50 or more on the planetickets, i'd consider san jose i guess.

but whatever you do, do not get a cab. bayarea cab drivers are worse drivers than asian women in my experience =D.

for comparison... going rates are 25 dollars from the pittsburg BART station to the venue. thats... 7 miles.
