Dedede has Balls.

Okay, so I was leisurely playing a match with me as Meta Knight against King Dedede at level 6 with items off on Halberd.

About halfway through the match, he uses his forward special on me, and throws a Smash Ball. I got it and used it, but shortly after said, "Wait a minute. I turned items off. And how the heck did he just throw a Smash Ball?"

Has this happened to anyone else? Strange, if you ask me...

You have to both turn items off, and each individual item off as well. If you do that, Dedede won't get items. Peach will still randomly pull items though.

Yeah, it happens even with items off. I've gotten lots of different things.

Its just like how Peach can pick a bob-omb, mr. saturn, or beam sword instead of a turnip.

It doesn't make a bit of difference guys. The balls are inert.

Also, I don't think it's a glitch or anything. That just happens to be a random effect of D3's waddle dee throwing move on occasion.

All items were off. As in, all marked "off" and gray with the item amount set to "None."
