Hey guys, this is RAM!

I've done some of UTDZac's Phase Tournaments, and (almost) went to A.L.S., but I'm a melee player at heart and would love the opportunity to expand my melee exposure in the area. I'm ok, but I'd really like to get practiced up for APEX!!! in a week or so!
I'm in McKinney, but can travel in the area if you just want to get together and play a few hours of melee.

Nice to know the DFW melee scene is still hanging in there...

That's pretty cool. Sadly I won't have a car when I get to UTA and I don't think I'll have one until a year or two. I'm hoping to find some smashers that go to UTA or at least live near so that I can just walk to a smashfest.

@Laser Kirby: I go to UTA. My friends and I usually almost always hang out at the bowling ally and play video games around lunch. You're welcome to join us. As it stands, we play mostly Brawl, but it's starting to look like we are picking up several melee players this semester. The tides could shift.

@Smashfest this Wednesday: I'm free that day. Where is it being held?

I am also holding a Smashfest on Friday. I tried to give a whole week in advance, but I have work Saturday/Sunday. >.<

Try Austin or Waco I guess. I don't know how big Killeen is, but you can try and start a community there. Even if you can get just 3 or 4 guys, you can then carpool together to save gas money.

Hey DFW Melee! Insane Triumph 2 is being held on October 23rd in Houston (same venue). As D'oH said in the Houston melee thread, he plans on coming if Houston shows up to its own tourney. I hope the same can be said for the rest of you, as I'm giving everyone 2 months notice. Here is the link to the thread:
