Diddy Barrel Glitch?

Okay, I'm sure this has been noticed before, but I can't find any threads.

Every now and then, when using Diddy's Up-B, instead of stopping his vertical momentum, he glides upwards until I let go of the attack or he charges all the way. No clue how this works or why it happens, but I was hoping someone could tell me. I still have Up turned on for jumping, if that makes a difference.

It's when you jump and UpB at the same time while tumbling, after getting hit. It's a general glitch that affects several characters.

Actually, this happens when you are hit in a upwards direction, then you jump and immediately use Up B.

It doesn't matter what direction you're going, as long as you're tumbling.

Try it out in training mode with motion sensor bombs.

I've used it a few times when really needed on accident. haha

I got knocked off the bottom of a stage by a Pit once and thought I was done for, just to see Diddy come flying back up with his barrels a chargin'.
