Diddy Kong's Barrels of Matchups~ [MAIN INDEX]

not by much, its like 55-45 at worst might be even
diddys recovery is impossible to gimp as marth, the barrels are like invincible and he always makes it back onstage
marth can't kill diddy since all of marths kill moves are obvious as **** and diddy won't be hit by them anyways
did i mention his up b is like impossible to gimp
and diddy outcamps marth so hard lol
the only way marth can do anything is to rush in before diddy can pull crap
did i mention his barrels are ********?
but with a naner marth just gets pooped all over

IIRC the final score was 6-4 last time we played Tibs.
And when you asked for the vids to be critiqued, everyone was like, wow this shaya kid has no idea how to play this match up.

Also gimping diddy's recover is easy with the power of dolphin slash instant regrab.
At least all he can do is aim for on stage. lololol.
Or chance fate and try to out grab the ledge from marth with that really small leeway.

IMO Diddy for sure doesn't lose to Marth but I don't know about beating him. He probably beats Kirby, Wario is doable and close to even but I don't think it's actually even, Wario wins slightly.
I also don't see how Luigi beats Diddy. Peach...yeah she's dumb, but Luigi I can't understand.
But it's almost pointless to argue a lot of Diddy's match-ups cause all his effing match-ups are close to even lol

marth v diddy, marth wins slightly. as shaya said before dolphin slash regrab is really good, spesh if diddy is below you.
wall of peanuts with a nana in hand and infront is what kills marth. spesh if marth grabs one of the peanuts lol. but once he finds a way through, hes dangerous.
z dropping aerials, recatching with fair (spaced) is great to, as shaya also mentioned before.
also the random glidetoss to whatever is pretty good.
we lose to wario slightly, the whole not killing till 180% while he kills at ~110% really hurts us. his aerial mobility and aerials in general are really good for dealing nanas.

I can only conclude that i'll get better at the mu from playing it constantly.
Feasibly, if marth reads correctly, he always has an upper hand from a neutral situation.
From outdisjointing everything from diddy, outranging his ground moves and most of his aerials (his fair outranges marth's aerials [maybe not bair]).
He also has frame traps that are within diddy's "Silly" 7 frames.
As in, his move set resolves around -4 frames, in which diddy doesn't have a guaranteed banana toss oos.
Well spaced dtilt is -9 on shields but marth can shield before the banana will reach him.
From what I can gather, I think dtilt is a reasonable frame trap on diddy still. I've seen videos of times when marth does use dtilt having success, but as a whole it's a move not used as much as it [imo] should by all marths.
