edit: and make sure to bring setups unless you guys want to play on HDTVs! (and get $5 off too)

yep, venue fee $5, waived per setup. and yes, jus sayin the venue has lots of HDTVs, and don't wanna play on them haha. although they could be used for an MVC side tourney or something.

You can just use the melee rule set from some other melee tournament. lol
Just use something like:
Rules
This will be a double elimination tournament.
* Items off.
* Ties are broken by remaining lives, then %. If both criteria are tied, then the Sudden Death match will be played out.
* Each player/team takes turns striking a stage from the Neutral stages listed below until there is only 1 left. The first game will be played on the remaining stage.
* The loser of the first match will announce a new stage to play on for the next game. The winner will then be allowed to switch characters, followed by the loser. Apply the same logic for the third match (and fourth/fifth when applicable) if there is one. (Advanced Slob Picks)
* A player may not counterpick to the last stage they have won on. (Modified Dave's Stupid Rule)
* Double Blind character pick can be called at anytime before the first game of a set starts, and only apply to the first game.
* Each person may choose one stage to be disabled for the entire set at the START OF THE SET, after characters have been chosen but before the random stage has been picked. You may ban neutral stages.
* Controller Mods, Glitches (IC Freeze Glitch, Mewtwo Soul Stunner, etc), and tactics used to stall a match (wall-bombing, rising pound), are banned.
* Friendly Fire will be on in teams
* Wobbling is NOT banned
4 Stock 8 Mins best 2/3, finals 3/5 (including semi's)

Battlefield
Dream Land (N64)
Final Destination
Counter picks are:
Pokémon Stadium
Kongo Jungle 64

I'm fine with poke floats, even on doubles, lmao. but are other people okay with this, this stage helps fox in doubles so much. however I would just counter pick stadium, lol.I was kinda iffy on pokefloats, but I love that stage. LOL
