The tournament starts at 12:00pm.

Singles = $10
Doubles = $10 per person ($20 per team)
Crews = $5 per person ($25 per crew)
Venue fee = $3

If you bring a Wii and a TV and we use them, you'll have part of your house fee waived. $1 for each item we use, basically.

Singles:
1st: 50%
2nd: 25%
3rd: 15%
4th: 5%
5th: 2.5%

Doubles:
1st: 55%
2nd: 25%
3rd: 15%
4th: 5%

Crews:
1st: 70%
2nd: 30%
3rd: Money back

Brawl Rules:
* Matches will be THREE (3) Stock, seven minute time limit.
* Double Elimination. All matches will be 2/3, with all finals being 3/5.
* The bracket will be seeded by crews/region and rankings.
* Items will be off.
* Life stealing is allowed in teams.
* Smashballs will be OFF.
* Advanced Slob picks: First match is a blind pick, where the competitors will tell their character to a judge, and then proceed. The loser of the first match will then pick the next stage, then the winner may choose his character. After, the loser will choose his character and begin. The same will happen for the third match, if forced.
* You may ban two stages.
* You may not counterpick a stage that you won on.
* The Mage's DQ rule is also in effect:
2 Minutes Late: Warning/Loss of first stock
4 Minutes Late: Loss of first match of set
6 Minutes Late: Loss of set
* Any attempt at lame tactics will result in a warning. Any further attempt at lame tactics will result in forfeit. Judges can be called over if you're confused about this.
These tactics include, but are not limited to:
-Stalling under a stage.
-Running away to run the time limit. (Excessively. If there's 30 seconds, and you bail, that's one thing. But if you waste 5 minutes, or be a jerk about it, we're stopping the match. It's at the judge's discretion.)
* The stage strike system will be used to determine the first stage. Each player, starting with the higher seed or determined by the players with something like rock/paper/scissors, will strike one stage from the neutral list until only one is left, and that will be the stage played on for the first match.
* Inui, Atomsk, Blue, and Magus are the only TOs for this event. Everyone else needs to stay away from the laptop used for the brackets and not interfere with running the event. If someone else that we trust is needed to help, like dmbrandon or Keitaro for example, then you'll be asked to help. Otherwise, please leave the laptop clear for the TOs. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. You can trust us to run a very good event as usual, so don't worry.
* You are not allowed to play friendlies during the tournament until the TOs have specifically said you can. If you are caught playing friendlies when we need the TVs for tourmament matches, you will be asked to get off. If we ask you to get off multiple times, you will be disqualified with no refund. This is to ensure that the tournament runs smoothly and finishes on time.

Stages:

Neutral:
* Final Destination
* Battlefield
* Yoshi's Story
* Smashville
* Lylat

Counterpicks:
* Delfino Plaza
* Battleship Halberd
* Castle Siege
* Brinstar
* Pokemon Stadium 1
* Frigate Orpheon
* Rainbow Cruise

NOTE: You may play any banned stage as long as both you, and your opponent agree and ask a judge! If you agree, there will be no complaints!

DO NOT BRING WENDY'S TO THE VENUE. IF YOU BRING WENDY'S TO THE VENUE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN EXTRA $1 TOWARDS THE VENUE FEE OR YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WITH NO REFUNDS GIVEN. I DO NOT WANT TO SMELL GREASE ALL DAY AND EVERYONE ALWAYS LEAVES A MESS FOR ME TO CLEAN UP. EAT YOUR WENDY'S AT THE RESTAURANT AND DO NOT BRING IT BACK.

Low Tier Singles

-All normal singles rules apply.

Allowed Characters

Jigglypuff
Ike
Bowser
Lucas
Yoshi
Ness
Sonic
Ivysaur
Mario
Samus
Captain Falcon
Link
Ganondorf
Single Ice Climber (Just jump off low enough to kill Nana)
Nolimar (Olimar with no Pikmin, lol)

Transportation and getting here:

-You can take the train to either the Princeton Junction or Princeton train stations. You will be picked up for a small fee of about $2 or so by someone at the venue. If you're the only one getting picked up on a certain trip, you're obviously going to have to pay a little more than that, so maybe $5. It's up to the driver in the end. You're also going to have to pay for the way back, so going back in the largest groups possible is the best idea to make it cheaper. You're not going to get overcharged, though, so don't worry too much about it. I am not a driver, but MasterDaveNo1 and Magus420 are. I'll probably just give Magus420 my phone so he can pick people up. My phone number is 732-829-1805. Please don't arrive at the station too early. Remember, sign-ups don't even start until 11:00am because we'll be sleeping after a long night of setting up the venue and training. Don't wait until the last minute when you need a ride back to the station. Please make sure you know your train schedule and get Magus420 or MasterDaveNo1 to drive you to the station on time.
-Make sure you don't pass the hotel! It's not a big hotel. It's a two-story inn. It's beige and reddish in colour. It's immediately before a Wendy's, so if you pass Wendy's, you passed the venue. I don't know how people miss the hotel a lot, but they do. It's right off of Route 1 South. Very easy to find and get to.

Please click the "I am attending this tournament" link on the AllIsBrawl.com page! This helps spread the word about the event!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few changes have been made:

-Teams is now $10 a person. NJ is getting way too good at teams and Enemy Controller is full of teams specialists. It's time to take teams a lot more seriously. I hope the entry fee doesn't scare people away from teams. Keep in mind that Terrabite and other events have charged $10-$15 per person many times and many of you have still entered. Please show me that same courtesy.

-The time limit is now 8 minutes. I'm going back to the Melee standard because I don't really see any reason to deviate from it in the first place. The game is really campy, and NJ has some gay players that love running the clock (you all know who I'm talking about...). The extra minute will make it much harder for them to do so and it makes actually fighting more passable as a viable option. I don't want running the clock to be a legit and easy strategy to win anymore.

-If you didn't notice last time, we now use the stage strike system to remove more luck from the game. It's explained in the rules.

-I added a section about transportation and getting here to avoid some confusion that keeps occuring.

-I'm a little tired of everyone crowding around the laptop and stuff like that, so I added a rule about it.

-I added an official rule about playing friendlies.

-Tactical Tag Team Crews was removed for Low Tier Singles.

Nobody is going to bring in other food.

Wendy's is what causes the extreme excess of garbage and terrible smell, not other food.

If doubles is going to have increased fee, make it pay out to top 4 or 5 please.

Oh, yeah, that sounds pretty fair. 4th can have money in teams...if teams has enough entrants. I will only pay out top 3 if we have some joke amount like 20 teams.

Doubles:
1st: 55%
2nd: 25%
3rd: 15%
4th: 5%

OK, because I was figuring, if you're going to declare doubles to be as serious, if not more serious than singles, that make the payout fair too. Thanks for understanding.

Mention that they should expect to pay a little more when there's only like 1-2 people riding in the car. I don't like sitting in traffic for sometimes stupid lengths of time and being compensated like 47 cents or something for it... Also, the ride back isn't included in that.

Well then, the problem isn't the grease. ppl should be allowed to bring Wendy's back then. w/e doesn't matter to me since I doubt I'm coming
You guys must have some pretty odd pizza if there's no notable difference in smell between it and fast food burgers and such.

He complained that he doesn't like smelling grease from Wendy's all day. Obviously burgers smell different from pizza <_<. However, they both have grease.

What tournaments are on this day that aren't super far from NJ? I didn't see any.

@Chibo: I already consider you/ToS as no-shows before I even post topics. I will never expect you to show up at any of my events because there is literally always some crappy excuse.

Hmm...let's see i got this right for New York

Train Ticket to NJ - 20 dollars for a round ticket
Paying NJ smash driver 2 dollars (possibly 3 dollars. This is not counting the way back)
Tourny Venue - 3 dollars
Tourny - 10 for singles, 10 for doubles and ( if interested and in a crew) 5 dollars for crew battle

So that's a total of...

37 dollars if NY just want to do singles

47 dollars if NY want to do both singles and doubles

52 if they NY to the entire tourny (plus the fact we have to buy food for ourselves)

WTF NJ? I thought you loved us. T_T

he's talking about that tourney, but it is too far for me. This SHOULD be no problem because my last day before spring break is the day before this, which means that even though it's my weekend to go home, it shouldn't be a problem if I go to this, then have my parents pick me up from it (or wherever) that night (or the next morning.)

there's like zero chance my parents will let me go to the one that's 3 hour drive away, so now I just gotta find A: a teammate and B: a crewmate that knows how to get to princeton to come with me

Wow, I don't care about something that far away. If Chibo wants to try and win money against the crappy PA scene (aka his crew + 5 players lol, but two people in his crew are way better than everyone else so lol @ that anyways), that's cool. I'm still hosting this if no other tournaments are nearby.

Rockin, you guys should learn to carpool. It's cheaper than using the train. If you put 5 people into a car, that's like $5 per person and that covers both ways.

Keep in mind, even if we did carpool from NYC to NJ, the driver may not benefit much. Sure, we'll have the money to pay for toll (which is 8 dollars I believe and back, so that's 16 supposibly), but the driver would get like 9 dollars and I'm not sure if that would cover the amount of gas it's taking us to front and back.

Also, not a lot of people really have cars. There's only several I know that have cars and about at 4-5 (counting the driver) could only fit in there.

I don' have too much of an issue with this news. I mean, I perfer singles then anything else and I don't mind paying 2-3 dollars to a NJ driver (ask Mangus, pretty much asked me if I could give him 3 dollars) cause well, gas isn't cheap. I'm just saying as to how the other NYC crew may feel about this, that's all.

A 5 person carpool is still much cheaper than using the train. >_>;
