Smash 3DS Error Code 001-0502

It's been saying that for the past two hours, tried using the eShop and it's working fine. Are the servers down or something?

I too have been getting this error message. Very frustrating. Anyone know how to fix it? My online works fine with the eShop, Pokemon, and Mario Kart.

I've been getting the error code 006-0502 and 001-0502 and it's very annoying...

I just started having this problem yesterday. According to Nintendo it means the e Shop is down. I checked the service activity page and it was blank. Please tell me the servers aren't down from traffic.

I finally got mine working. I completely deleted my internet connection settings, started from scratch again, performed a system update (so now I've got all the fancy colours!) and bam, online play working fine. Well, except for the horrible, horrible lag.

I have been having the same problem. I just have to keep retrying until I can eventually get in. I've never had it so bad that it lasted 2 hours though!

Turn your router and or modem off for a minute or two, have your 3ds off while you do this. Wait for everything to reset and regain internet connection, then turn the 3ds back on. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. It seems to fix the issue at times for me.

I am having this issue occur, however i was playing online just fine before nintendo flipped my nnid so i can re register it to my new wiiu. I wonder if its something on their end or just the mass amount of people on?

Edit: at the moment im typing this we have 59 guests viewing. Sounds like a nintendo server problem.

Edit2: i got error code 001-0811 with a message saying they're performing maintenance on the servers

Ahh, tyvm. I was wondering why I continually was getting errors. It would be nice if there was an actual message on the 3DS indicating maintenance. The generic error codes I was getting (001-0112) indicates an "Access Point issue", which was obviously not true.

Yeah its down for me too. I thought it was a usual Smash Bros online error until it just kept booting me out with that error code. Nintendo should at least let us know through notifications that its gonna be down rather than just directing us to some website not a lot of people probably know about

Checking back on it, the maint got extended for 2 hours and will be open at 12:00 AM PST. Who knows if it will get extended again, though.

I got this code after I was sent to for glory hell on my wii U. Guess I am just straight up banned from the 3ds while I'm in the Pit. Was a little concerned though because then i tried to connect while playing fire emblem and got the same code, but the next day it fixed itself. Not sure if I can smash on the 3ds though, and I don't want to temp fate by trying and screwing up all my other online play on the 3ds.
