West Coast has a pretty fail B+ scene :( Good luck getting it to catch on!
Tell me about it T_T...

Such a failure of a coast... at least they have lots of Melee. As of now I think only like 8-9 people will show, and that's if everyone who said will come will actually show.

What was that quote?

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Don't get discouraged. Keep going at it.

Even here, at the East Coast, the Brawl+ tournament scene is still very much in its infant form. It's up to dedicated and efficient T.O.'s to pioneer this budding scene.

You may think that what you're doing now is small, but it definitely contributes to the bigger goal. Keep at it!

Haha, Midwest (or at least Michigan) has no Brawl+ scene.
Infact, I'm like the only one in MI who likes Brawl+.

You are probably better off holding a vBrawl or melee tourny and having b+ as a side event to introduce it. Make the normal tourny like $5 buy in or w/e, then have the B+ only $1 or free. It's just so people will join it. Maybe you can even offer to hack anyone's wii for free if they bring it. They don't even have to bring an sd card. You can pretty much set up everyone's in less than 3 minutes a piece.

I still think you played like you were in brawl, which I admit to doing sometimes. I suck at the game still, so I'm not talking trash here X.x

Viet, you have to play me sometime. If I can be added to the list, I'm gonna give Brawl+ one more try now that I know I can't get banned. I'm new at it too, but Brawl is too gay to play.

edit:
Oh, it's a Georgia thing.
Oh.. I see >.>

I suck at melee more than you guys. I don't know L-canceling and wavedashing, or even ledge hop. What I did with Marth is spam roll and spam forward smash. And I pick Temple and fight in the cave. lol. I was ten at that time. Though I was lucky enough that the CPU sucks, so I could beat all event matches >.>
Brawl is a different story though. I read through SmashWiki and smashboards before Brawl was released, and played melee to wait for Brawl, though I still suck and cannot wavedash properly. I am such a melee n00b

Well when it comes to Wavedashing and l-canceling and stuff, it doesn't take too long to learn how to do them. I've been playing for a while now (every now and then and stuff) and I implemented it into my game pretty well you could say, but it takes longer to perfect it.

I don't know how often I'll be online at all, but I'd be up for 1v1s or 2v2s with no items of course =}
If I'm doing 2v2, I'll have a partner on the same Wii, or it should be most of the time.

I'll try to keep my Brawl+ .Gct updated with everyone elses.

Also, West Coast here, haha.

L-canceling can be mastered in 10 seconds. Press L/R during an aerial, and you mastered l-canceling. It's that easy. Wavedashing needs more inputs and more accuracy

It's a lot more difficult (maybe just to me) whenever you're actually in a fight though. I tend to miss l-cancels here in there when juggling combos, and if I can't hit it almost 100 percent of the time I haven't mastered it.

Since this is a brawl+ thread, I'm wondering if theres an online friend finder for brawl+, or if this is pretty much it? I'm looking for a couple of brawls today while trying to get used to these mechanics. A lot different from the March version I had. O.o (or maybe it was April? Blegh).

lol are u serious?.... wavedashing is the easy part. The only hard part about wavedashing is how the timing is slightly different after you shine. L-cancelling is harder imo because you have to look whether your gonna actually hit with the ariel or if your gonna miss because it seems like the timing varies also, if ur fox or falco once you miss that cancel, say goodbye to ur stock

L-cancelling is only difficult if you practice only on Final Destination. Wavedashing is easy, making offensive use of your wavedash is what takes time, unless you're Luigi.

Depends, characters like Marth is isn't that difficult, wavedash D-tilt, wavedash grab are all great options and not that hard. Same with wavedash F-smash and the like. Fox on the other hand....

fox is easy to wavedash with, you practically press the buttons at the same time, L-cancelling with fox on the other hand is difficult. Especially when someone light shields or moves their shield
