First Brawl Experience

How are you going to prepare for your first brawl experence? This is a highly anticipated game, which makes the beginning extremely important (first impressions remember). Be step by step and detailed.

1. This is one of the more special games, like Twilight Princess was, so I'm going to have to clean my room before I even open the box.

2. I'll carefully pull off the vaccum sealed rap, and open the box. I will then glance through the instuction booklet. I always read the book before playing a new game, another traditin of mine.

3. Poor myself a glass of Kool-Aid, feed the disk to my Wii, let it load, and sit through the opening.

4. It is my Smash Bros. tradition to train with Link first, so I will do that. I will go directly to training mode, choose Link (my first) and choose the Bridge of Elden stage. I'll practice with the Wii-mote turned to it's side. This lasts for 5-10 minutes.

5. Go directly to Classic Mode, choose Link, and turn the Wii-mote to it's side, begin at easy, and my true Smash journey will begin.

By the way, the Classic Controller will be my main controller.

It sucks for me. I'll get to play it just for a moment. My finals are right around the release date. After the seventh though, it'll be nothing but smash in my dorm room. I'll work on getting used to Ike since I wager he'll be slower than Marth because its a two handed sword he uses. I could be wrong though! Also, I'll be playing Adventure Mode and Classic and all that stuff to try and see what characters have been included.

What I'll do is pull of the vacuum seal really carefully and slide the disc in. It's my tradition to not read the booklet first. lolz. Then I'll get a bunch of caffeinated drinks (cocaine, vault, bawls, something) sit in my foldout chair, plug the nunchaku into teh wiimote and push power. Oh and I'll make sure I have chips and Louisiana Hot Sauce or Tabasco (Habenero variety, I don't go for the weak stuff).

I will then watch the intro, go to training and choose Link. (Yes, using Link in training is my smash tradition too) Learn all his moves and take him into classic mode.

That's what I'm gonna do, besides salivate uncrollably (of course).

Huh? I'll just open the game (I automatically open things with caution since I manage mail), put it in the Wii and play. o.o

The first thing I'm going to do is go to Training Mode and taunt with Captain Falcon to charge myself on awesome.
Seriously.

Edit - After that, jump at my foe and Falcon Punch, exit training mode and begin Adventure Mode, hopefully to beat it in one day. (I'll be off on the release. <3)

Set up the Wii, open up the package carefully and slowly make love to the case.
Start playing hour hours on end.

i'm gonna be afraid to open the seal. It might disappear...like awakening from a good dream.
I have that feeling as well. This all seems too good to be true. xD

I'm gonna pick up Brawl, take it home, light a few scented candles, turn up some Barry Manilow and treat that disc to a night it'll never forget.

Oh yes, the existence of Brawl is nothing but a dream. The instant you get it, before you are able to open it up, you'll wake up... and when you wake up you'll come to this forum and be like "Man, I had the best dream, I actually got Brawl!" and everyone here's like "What is Brawl?"

That would drive me to insanity. Fortunately I have no reason to believe I'm in a dream right now. Too much pain, dreams don't usually have that. XD

I'll die of happiness, that's what will happen to me the minute I get Brawl. No such game can exist. =P

First I'll sit and look at the games boxart ( I'm an artist. This is my thing)

Next carefully open the sealed wrapping.

Next read the booklet. I do this with every game.

Next carefully feed the game into the Wii.

Watch the intro.

Then Test out Peach and Pit. (My mains for the game XD)

Afterwards test out all the starting characters, then I'll check out all the game modes and Options.

Lastly I'll come to Smashboards to see if anyone has found any new techs thst I haven't discovered yet.

I'll turn on the game hoping to go through that Subspace Emmisary, when my brother will barge into the room and demand the controller.

Or else he'll punch me.

...In the face.

Sounds like a party to me.

Alright...

1. Go to Gamestop to pick up my reserved copy
2. Either wait for class to finish that day or call in "sick"
3. Stare at the boxart with tears in my eyes while "Far Away" from Nickelback plays in the background
4. Rip open the vaccum seal plastic that is TOO HARD TO GET OFF OF EVERY-FRIGGIN-THING!
5. Go through the instruction manual carefully and thoroughly. Yes, I already know how to play Smash, I just read the manual with every single game I buy.
6. With a quavering hand I'll turn on my tv and wii, allowing the game disc to slide in and start cookin'.
7. Go to the disc channel on the Wii menu and stare at the Brawl logo on it for another five minutes.
8. Piss myself with excitement during the no doubt EPIC opening.
9. Take Mario, train, then go to town on Classic Mode
10. Start playing everything else and kiss my free time goodbye.
