Oh, because bronies are the only internet-based subculture where you can find people making pedophilia, **** and racist jokes.

I think the problem is not that, every community is full of that, and the whole internet is full of those communities.
Maybe the thing that got jimmies rustled is the fact that they are taking it too far, talking about that loudly, in public, in a supposedly safe environment, and even harassing kids that work there.

I mean, having dark humour is nice, but keep it in the place it belongs (read: the internet); they are just transforming the already dobious image a lot of people had about bronies into a bad one.

Bronies are strange. My friend considers himself a brony, but he is beyond getting into the weird junk as far as I know. However he is incredibly creative and makes animations / games with the fandom. He went to a bronycon in Canada I think and got a picture drawn from the HotDiggetyDemon guy that makes Jappleack and other cartoons.

I don't really understand the fascination you have with this hobby, but I don't see it being positive or cross-applicable in any sense. Then again from your behavior in this thread it appears that you relish in persecuting other sub-type "leisure" communities by focusing on petty squabbles that go on within them and using a parts to whole flaw to generalize the entire fan base as being flawed due to particular problems within them. The fact that you feel that bronies, homestuck, and other trivial communities need to be called out in such a manner is sad, because there are far more relevant and worse issues that stand to point to whistle blow on rather than targeting a group that comprehensively has little in common and has problems that don't have real world implications.
