Basically, I've been playing Project M a ton lately, and would like to know the best solution for lower input lag. My CRT crapped out on me after being about 15 years old, and I replaced it with a 27 inch ASUS which (sadly?) has no component inputs. And please don't tell me to buy a CRT. I am aware of the hdmi upscalers that simply plug into the video output slot of the Wii, which then hook up to hdmi, as well as using the default component output which hooks into a component to hdmi...thing.

Here's what I had in mind for an upscaler

As far as component to hdmi, there's a ton of them on amazon and I'm not sure what the best solution would be.

What are the pros and cons of the two solutions above in regards to delay and image quality? And are there even better solutions?

Thank you for the help.

That brand is garbage and scales a 4:3 image to a 16:9 image along with introducing lag on its own, to say nothing of the monitor you hook it up to.

Get this one:

or this one:

Image quality is equivalent to 480p with a component cable, I guess. Input delay would be dependent on how good your monitor is at upscaling a 480p image to whatever its native resolution is (since most ASUS brand monitors are built for computer monitor use, it's usually minimal delay).

I haven't tried it on my monitor (I can't even try it right now without component inputs), but I'll try the Wii2Hdmi converter. Thank you.
