I am trying to put a new platform fighter together for you guys and I am coding the physics myself because, surprisingly, I just can't find a C++ programmer who wants money.
So in making the physics myself I am trying to just replicate a simple Cpt. Falcon Jump.
Jump Force: 3.1
Jump height: 35.42779
Gravity: 0.13
Base Acceleration: 2.9
Additional acceleration: 0.02
Max Acceleration: 1.12
Air Friction: 0.01
You keen eyes notice that there are indeed no units to these numbers.
So how do I convert these heathen numbers into well behaving human measurements. Like meters.
Also where did these numbers come from in the first place?
Also if any of you have some relevant equations, why, that would be a grand old time.
Are you allowed to bribe people for help on here? Because I am about to set a bounty for a good answer.
