HELP move Melee videos!

Upload everything and I mean everything Melee related you have to the gameroom. Now that youtube has been running amok with our even the most popular and most famous Melee videos of all time we need to act. This is for protection of our rights as human being and as Melee enthusiasts. Safety from youtube is ideally the reason to use the game room, but not only will it keep our precious videos safe it will also expose them to the breed of people we want to see them. Gamers. Tournament gamers. It's a win win.

Take everything melee you have and start uploading, seriously, take from people, who gives a ****, just credit them. If you have the time and passion to upload these videos then do it. Take from our most famous youtube accounts, optimus lime, sweet ignorance, etc. Upload everything.

Do it, help conserve and expand our community!

yes people NEED to do this.

halo 2 lost all of their most famous vids when the site they used closed down we dont want something similar to happen to us!!!

Dphanna
Gimpyfish
Yayhuzz
Everthing in the melee dedication thread
etc. etc. I will take phanna's videos

Yeah I couldnt access Aniki's link Vs captain Jacks Dk or something like that the other day, i cried....... i cried... so anyway that would b tight if u guys could save them i dont really know how cause im challenged at life in general lol. I just watch them alot. So umm wouldnt warner bros want ppl to here their music more? I mean from some combo videos or videos of matches i actually found songs and bands i never knew of before so therefore they r makin money from it in the long run cause ppl r finding out bout some music they might not know of u know, ****in Warner bro tards.

probably should also add an explanation in the first post, that only combo vids are in danger (because of copyrights to the music)

Yes, it's my intention to migrate -everything- for the exposure aspect of this. And it's not exactly true seeing as how songs are frequently dubbed to matches and how to play instructional videos and machinima etc.


EDIT: Is that a better title? Ionno what's good.

There's a really easy way to download youtube videos. No program involved.

EVERYONE.

Simply change the url of the video link and you'll be able to download it.

Example
Take "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt_n7EEsQqI"

and change it to this:

"http://www.youtubemp4.com/watch?v=dt_n7EEsQqI"
This allows you to download the video in mp4 format. Don't worry about it being in mp4 format. You can still watch it, put it on your mobile (specifically your zune/psp), upload it to whatever site etc.

IF THIS DOESN'T WORK.
Which is unlikely, but you can visit

http://www.vixy.net

From there, you can enter the link and download it as an avi, mov, mp3 etcetc. However, this usually doesn't work.

Obviously, combo videos featuring non-original music is at risk, so this includes a lot of classics. Check the accounts of itsbme, sweetxignorance etcetc.

Does anyone have OMFG M2K?

And Vixy doesn't work as well (at least it usually has a poorer quality) as

It usually does it pretty fast and I have my video in about 15m but in really good quality...I have all/most of itsbme's recent videos that were made within the past 3 months

How does youtube even figure out which videos include Warner Bros. owned music?

btw fun fact, Warner Bros owns the rights to the Happy Birthday song. Yeah, the song you sing with your family on birthdays. Seriously. >_>

It can detect it from the audio. I've once uploaded a video, and it was immediately (like, literally) blocked unless I changed the audio because it had a Nas song in it. It sometimes resolves itself, but not always. Also, it also knew my "OMFG ****" video had copyrighted content in it.

Currently in the process of uploading six videos. DJ - KDJ combo Video, Wound of the Wind Final Version, I.AM.ROBOT, Don't Get Hit! (cant let that classic video be forgotten!), SSBM Where Amazing Happens, and Real Kings Wear Tiaras.

I'll upload as much as I can tonight!

Good luck uploading all the greats you guys!

It's interesting that we can upload melee vids to MLG's video thing. Hopefully they'll bring back the game on their roster! XD
