don't get grabbed
****, DON'T GET HIT ~isai <3

laser the hell out of him and don't let him get near you
don't approach him make him approach you then **** him for approaching
PP says if he powershields just keep shooting and he'll freak out
anyway, when he approaches, try to shine him or something
dair-shine-wd-shffl-REPEAT til about 50% then shine->whatever makes sense to get more damage and end it with a fsmash or dair spike or bair.. fair actually combos nicer than nair does into fsmash

falco is one of falcon's worst matchups.. it's up there with shiek and fox

-Lasering is best when he's dashdance camping you and to approach safely. Don't run away lasering the whole match because it makes you more predictable and it hardly racks up damage. Only a weak-minded player will get frustrated, good Falcons can easily avoid lasers from campy Falcos.
-Falcon can't handle shield pressure against a seasoned Falco. Space and don't get shield grabbed. If you do that right, he'll try stomp out of shield. Uptilt is an easy counter that punishes hard. You can also jump behind him and spam shffl'd bairs/nairs like Fox does. Once he realizes he has no safe offensive option out of shield, he'll roll and that's when you start reading their patterns and punish.
-Upthrow is good sometimes at lower percents. Fthrow has the most utility since Falcon is heavy and you can techchase/follow-up. Bthrow->ftilt works with your back to the edge when they DI into the stage to avoid being thrown off.
-You don't want to full jump much unless you're edgeguarding/comboing. It's too easy for Falcon to just run up and grab you when you land.
-If you do get grabbed, it's just luck if you don't tech or tech away. If you always tech, they can just dashdance techchase regrab easily. If you don't tech they'll stomp/raptorboost/knee you. You just have to do the one your opponent punishes least and once they know you can mix it up, you just have to be random. The best thing to do is DON'T GET GRABBED. You're Falco, you have a shine and lasers. Be consistent with your basic techskill and don't worry about doubleshines .
-Utilitize your amazing full jump with bairs when edgeguarding. Once they start recovering low, it's easy to fsmash/dsmash/dair. If they're good at mixing up sweetspotting/getting on the edge, it's generally better to grab the edge and wait for them to land and punish the lag.

no tech is usually the best answer. especially against more inexperienced falcons. since getting up has invincibility, if you time it right, you should be able to get up safely more often than if you just randomly tech everywhere.

Falcon is hard to fight in close range. I usually just shl then move in with a short hope spike.

2 things
1) don't get grabbed, combo the **** out of him
space your shield pressure / shield pressure behind him so he can't shield grab you, don't over do it or you'll get stomped / grabed

don't be predictable with your lasers or he'll full hop Nair you, side b you, shield -> grab you. if he powershields, keep lasering

2) you're going to getgrabbed... it's inevitable
do NOT be preditable with your tech. the biggest thing this means is DONT ALWAYS TECH THE DIRECTION THAT YOU DI. But don't always do the opposite too. Mix it up. I'd say don't start doing no tech until a little bit into the match or you'll just get stomped.

be unpredictable

its really hard to beleive that ur opponent is perfectly tech chasing u every time mindgaming ur every move... mix up techs... and react quickly, like spot dodge or shine right when ur tech animation is done... but honestly falcon vs falco u shouldnt have a problem, 1 shine and hes dead.... 1 grab you shouldnt be dead.
