Radiohead is too basic. I cant liem they have some AMAZING songs like wierd fishes and paranoid android and overall Radiohead has more good releases than explosions. But explosions 2 or 3 good releases destroy what radiohead has released. Radiohead just apeals to a MUCH larger fanbase, while explosions is just a little texas post rock band. My statement still stands so go ahead and come at me CeeWhy IDGAF

I've heard this song 5,000 times. In fact, I knew about it wayyy before you probably did because I was one of the first to get the album looool.

You overhype bands.

I used to do it ALL the time - Mars Volta's the best band! No, GY!BE is the best band... no, My Bloody Valentine! Trust me, when you've listened to as much music as I have you will finally understand that Radiohead stands the test of time and is utterly brilliant on almost every listen. OK Computer and Kid A are extremely difficult to digest though, so maybe you haven't understood them yet. Like I said, try to get into more 50s, 60s, 70s stuff, go into the Jazz Era of Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, then hit up more ambiance music. I literally enjoy every genre of music and have almost heard the best of each.

Radiohead is the best band ever. Not only musically but lyrically too, try to understand everything OK Computer is about, it's crazy. Just come back to it after hitting up some of that stuff I previously mentioned.

You're like a younger version of me when it comes to music.

I used to completely ADORE Explosions in the Sky, in fact it was my FIRST post-rock band that I got into along with Mono. Go try out Hymn to the Immortal Wind by them, I bet you will like it too. Then I moved on to other stuff, similar to you at that point I did not like Radiohead AT ALL. But after I discovered more music and genres it just like finally "clicked".

Turn On the Bright Lights is super good, but it's not Kid A or OK Computer status. It's like The Bends status or something. The songs NYC and Leif Erikson are amazing, though <3.

Anyways, I thought this would be pretty cool - and I wanted to see how popular these indie songs are for people who know nothing about the artist/album. Most of these songs are ones that have skimmed the mainstream world by appearing in commercials, movies, or maybe even the radio at times. All these songs have appeared on highly acclaimed albums over the past like fifty years too which is pretty cool. I added the artist and what album the song appears on in case you're interested in checking them out.

And now to you noobmatic. I've already listened that mono album. Im not some low level. I've also heard about explosions for a very long time as well, not as long as you since you claim to be one of the first. I'm not over hyping explosions, just dehyping radiohead. There's plenty of albums/bands that I personally consider better than radiohead. I know these bands aren't better from the critics, but radiohead doesn't interest me personally as much. I have 4 of their albums and I don't know how many it takes for you to understand, but 4 is enough for me. Maybe YOU need to up your game and stop copy pasting everything you read off your favorite music review websites.

also, you can have as many albums as an artist is willing to offer, it doesn't mean you will understand their style/technique
