I'm talking about people Getting caught in it, and, then blocking it.

Don't play with items? Even still, once you're caught, you're taking that full 70%+, iirc.

What I mean is, the triforce symbol shows up, then both players freeze for a split secont, then the victim is set free.

To avoid it, just don't be in front of TL when he hits B. Once you're in, you're screwed.
