You could realize that you don't have to tilt the stick long enough that it makes a difference and stop making pointless threads.

Do a rising Dair, as in jump and immediatly Dair. And when you do the Dair, don't hold the control stick down. If you have trouble doing that (assuming you use GC controller) jump and Dair with the C-Stick.

We need a thread detailing this easy stuff so we don't get threads like this.

You can set your C stick to "tilt", it's called "attack". This will make you dair without fastfalling,
and your C stick will always perform tilts. Practice analogue smashing.

you can hold down before you jump, and then just press A at any point during your jump to dair, even when falling, to attack without fastfalling. you can even cstick another aerial while holding the control stick down and dair afterwards, without the fastfall.

Alternatively, hold down on the analogue stick while you are rising. Then you can tap A for the Dair or C-stick down without FFing.

If you don't want to use a code, you could always hit and hold down on your control stick as you're rising with a jump, then press A when you need to.
A little more simple, don't you think?
