how to get the extra option menu?

I have played a friends brawl (*** version) since last month, and I finally got mine (US Version) I remember he had an extra option that could turn friend fire ON and had the random stage selection and some other stuff that we didnt figured out (*** version remember...)


I was wondering if anyone know what I need to do to get it since I seriusly need to fix the random stage selection...

I haven't seen any options for the map other than that you can choose to have them automatically random, ordered, losers pick, etc. As for team damage, it's in the "other options" or "more options" when you choose a stock/time/coin/etc. battle. It's on the bottom.
