And if you're interested, this tournament has been added to AllisBrawl.

-Thanks

Address:

Montgomery, NY 12549

Rules

Brawl Rules:

3 stock

8 minute timer

Items are set to 'off' and 'none'

All sets are best of three, except winners finals, losers finals, and grand
finals sets, which are best of 5.

No player may choose a stage they have already won on in that set unless
agreed upon.

If the timer runs out, the victor is determined first by stock and then by
percentage.

Metaknight's Infinite Cape glitch is banned. That means this can't even be
used to avoid invincibility at the beginning of the stock (to avoid
confusion).

DDD's standing chaingrabs are banned. DDD MUST do a dash inbetween chaingrabs.

Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.

Excessive stalling or planking is banned.

Also, make sure to Bring Your Own Controllers. There are no extras available.

Match Format:
1. Opponents choose their characters for the first match *
2. Opponents start the stage striking procedure
3. The first game is played, using the stage chosen during step 2
4. Each player may announce one stage to be banned for counterpicks of the set
5. The loser of the previous match announces the next match's stage from either the Starter Stage List or the Counter Stage List
6. The winner of the previous match chooses their character
7. The loser of the previous match chooses their character
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for all proceeding matches

Stages:

Starter

Battlefield
Final Destination
Smashville
Yoshi's Island
Lylat Cruise

Counterpick

Castle Siege
Delfino Plaza
Halberd
Brinstar
Frigate Orpheon
Jungle Japes
Rainbow Cruise

N64 Rules

All matches are best of 3, with finals best of 5.

5 stock, 10 min Time limit

Team Attack On

No excessively STALLING a match! If caught doing so, you will be asked to stop with a warning. If you continue to do so, you will forfeit the match.
Items OFF

Stages/Characters:

Stages available: Peach's Castle, Hyrule Temple, Saffron City, Dreamland and Congo Jungle.

If a player plays Ness; he may demand a re-pick if Saffron City is selected as a random stage, however, if the opponent is the loser he has the right to counter-pick Saffron City.

All other stages banned

First round stage is random unless players can agree upon a stage

Advanced Slob Picks - Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go to random, then winner may choose to change characters, then loser may change characters

Venue Info:

This is HyperEnergy's house; there are many places to eat nearby with the closest being McDonalds, Burger King, Subway and Dunkin Donuts. We will be supplying drinks for $1 each (soda, probably) and we will be going out to eat after the tournament is done and if it goes on way too late housing will be supplied (I doubt it will go on too late XD). We will make signs with places that you can order to the house if you're hungry. Also, I will put a big sign on the door to the bathroom so that the bathroom will be easy to find. Just be respectful of the house; it's Hyperenergy's parents'.

Traveling:

Allied has kindly provided a train schedule (below) if you plan to use public transportation. If you need to clear up anything or want to coordinate pickups/drop-offs contact him at Allied1337.

We are also offering carpools there as well. Please send Allied1337 a msg over aim if you need to be picked up so he can put you on the list. You will or will not be charged for the ride, it's up to the driver 0_o. It won't be much though expect to pay only about 2 dollars.

I will come to this, way better than taking a 90$ bus ride to VA. I will need a pickup then because I will be coming by bus/train. Team anyone, I main Olimar, I'll probably join 64 doubles for the lawls.

Well, just let me or Allied know which train you plan to come by and we'll be more than happy to pick you up. The front page has train info if you need it.

I don't really know how to get to Beacon, but from the NJ Itinerary it says I could take a 8:30am train to Penn Station then take a train to 42nd street then walk half a mile to Grand Central Station. I would arrive at like 10:15am

its july 11th

@ bboyamir the only reason melee was skipped was because no one would join it locally and i dont know how many people would come for melee,

i mean dont get me wrong i <3 melee
i need turnouts tho

i'll prolly be playing melee anyway with some friendlie setups

Hm, well I got my schedule right and I'll arrive at Beacon at 10:10 am, but the only thing I need is housing, because there aren't any buses leaving from Grand Central Terminal to Vineland later than 8pm.

EDIT:I could just leave at 5:55pm after Brawl Singles, but would anyone be willing to take me to the Beacon Station?
