Iceblock Spamming

Let me preface this with the fact that I am just now learning to use the Ice Climbers as a fun secondary to Lucas. I know very little about how to play with the Ice Climbers as of yet. Some suggestions of specific videos to watch would be great to help me improve with them. I searched for information on the topic I'm about to talk about and found nothing on it so if I missed it I apologize in advance.

The lag time after using the Ice Climbers' iceblocks is based on the distance from the ground they were when the attack was initiated. Using iceblocks in the air causes the Ice Climbers to do a small hop before doing it creating annoying lag time when used from a short hop on the ground. However, this actually can help us on platforms.

By dropping through a platform and then timing your iceblock so that you hop just barely onto the platform you will land with significantly less lag than you normally would have. Done perfectly, the Ice Climbers will not fall on their backs. When repeated you can get double iceblocks to come out fast enough that the distance between them is about the same as an evenly spaced desynched iceblock. You can repeat this indefinetly for the most efficient means of spamming iceblocks.

Another thing to note is that if you drop down just slightly lower and then do iceblocks, Nana will hop onto the platform while Popo will fall to the ground. This desynchs them but it's kind of hard to get the timing just right.

As I said I don't know if anyone has written about this but it seems like it could be something useful to keep in mind when you're using iceblocks.

Unfortunately, this doesn't actually work as well as one would hope, as the lag remove by landing from an ice block is partially negated by the time it takes to fall down to that position where the lag would be removed and the landing lag itself.

Sure, it does improve the rate of fire of the ice blocks, but only marginally.

I have a quick question. What are the setups for an ice block lock...similar to falco's laser lock.
