If Nintendo was to rename the Wii U, what would be some good name options

Nintendo Revolution. I was disappointed when they dropped the name for Wii, but looking back I think Nintendo Revolution fits the Wii U better.

Wii 2 would work too. Just so it is more clear that the console is new.

Yeah, I was just thinking about this the other day. I think that they were trying to launch off the Wii's success. Wii 2 isn't as cool (though I'm not saying Wii U is all that cool), but Wii 2 would've gotten the point across better. It's certainly worked for PlayStation.

Or why not do what they did with the NES and Super NES... Super Wii!

Wii HD is the only one that makes sense and sounds like Nintendo because every system's name has been a partial description of what it is.

Nintendo U would be a good name, I mean, although the console looks almost the same as the original Wii with the GamePad, it could've been named something else. But yeah, I'm fine with the name. Lol, some japanese Wii U commercial features the ''Super Wii'' name.

I remember there was a rumor going around for a brief time, when we only knew the Wii U as Project Cafe, that it would be called the Ultimate Nintendo Entertainment System, or the UNES.

Ironically, the only thing that rumor got right was the U part.

Calling it anything Next would incur the wrath of Apple. Steve Jobs invented NeXTSTEP which became OS X when it was bought out by Apple. And I think Apple would sue Nintendo for using Next because Steve Jobs.
