Haha, I guess I can understand that. Here's a list of new vids couresty of FierceDeityWolf and Whut who found and posted these in the video thread, and I'll post the links to the ones that include Ike.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06LdhNF_gnA (Bridge of Eldin: Meta Knight, Peach, Link, Ike)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFuprCopHQY (Delfino Plaza: Ike, Pikachu, Sonic, Meta Knight)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HfXE_XRC_M (Smashville: Sonic, Pikachu, Peach, Ike)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azjiLKD9-3g (Skyworld: DK, Link, Ike, Samus)

In a recent post, Gimpy said Ike is NOTHING like Ganon, not that anyone here said he was, but there were the comments along the lines of "Think Ganon with a sword." To me, he's pretty much just like that. Sheer power wise, at least. Gimpy said he's "garbage" but I just don't wanna' believe it. I'm too stubborn. I'll play as Ike no matter what. >:O

-EDIT-
The first link shows some great quality for his f+b. In the air, in particular from watching the second link, it looks like to almost have the same range as Falco's f+b, or somewhere around there. Hard to tell, really. FINALLY get to see(or it's the first time I've seen it at least)someone use Ike's f+b to recover.

>B seems to have poor knockback compared to his other moves.

Aether is just stylish though. and 15 damage really isn't so bad. Let's hope it can't be DI'd out of.

Ike,mario,picahcu, dark link

btw, I'm loving Ike and from the loosk of this vid hes really not as slow as many people are saying.

Aether also seems fine for recovery the person in this video does it several times(they aren't great but they aren't horrible)

Pit,mario,ike, link

a few good uses of the counter, if it scales then it could potentially be a powerful kill move

The last video in the first post, with Ike, Metaknight, Mario, and Fox, is me playing Ike. I'm the guy visible in the video, although I was playing the third character slot. Walk walk walk f-smash FTW :).

I really like his fighting style/the way he uses his sword, but it doesn't seem like he'll be useful in 1 vs. 1 matches. Hopefully that no-flinch thing will make-up for his lack of speed.

Yeah, it's pretty far, and it hits very hard. It will hit from under the platforms on Lylat Cruise and Battlefield as well.

Oh, and about the video of me: at 1:07, I did a COUNTER not a f/usmash. Someone hit me and thus I struck them all back... there weren't any no-stun frames in action like someone said.

EDIT: also, if you notice, it's my sword that triggers the smashball at the end. I did his up+b, in which he throws his sword upwards, and it was the sword throw that broke the ball. Groovy.

Really? It looks like:

1) You did a fsmash to Mario (Ike is wavering the sword back)
2) Mario does a cape
3) Ike turns to the right and hits Fox instead

I'm pretty sure I countered, just based on memory of that match, but I could be mistaken. But IMO it looks more like Fox hits me (with a get-up attack?) in the counter and so I turn to hit him back. Hard to tell though :).

Regardless though, it most likely is not an example of "super armor", because Mario's cape has never stunned anyone.

So are you saying his Fsmash does NOT have no flinch frames. O.o

I hope his UpB isn't the only move with no flinch frames...

I'm saying I don't know if it does. But not flinching from Mario's cape is not an example of no-flinch frames because the Cape doesn't stun anyone.

That up smash takes forever to come out and it has bad recovery. Two opportunities to grab him assuming the move has super armor.

Sure they could. Going by the games anyway, he should be faster than stronger. Ranger Ike is not the strongest of people.
