I should be there, unless something crazy happens. I can bring the cube/game/memory card deal. I also need a partner. My main is Mario.

****z, an oldschooler is gonna come. This I didn't expect. Where you from Afrotaki? I didn't think that you were in this region.

Last time it was 45 peepz though, and judging from new people's responses it looks like it is gonna be even larger.

Sweet. I'm from Huntsville, but I haven't been able to make any tournaments in the past besides the one that was actually here, and I even had to leave early for that one. I'm definitely looking forward to this, though.

Wow, I don't actually remember us playing. Who do you use? And you remember that guy with the straw hat?

Ichigo - As far as the music goes... I don't care. As long as both people don't care I say let it go. I agree with Mookie, it would probably be easiest if it were setup at 1 station and just turned on if needed instead of trying to carry it around to every station you had to go to...

Rainbow cruise to me shouldn't be on neutral. The whole concept of a neutral stage is so 1 person doesn't have an advantage and such. To me, with all the various platforms fading in/out, it gives floaty chars an advantage because they can kind of chill in outer space for a bit knowing a platform will be there soon... I think it should be taken off neutral, but not banned (i.e. it's counterpickable if you want...)

Myztek - Cool, I could probably pick you guys up again.. We could do like last time with you all meeting at 1 place and snatching you guys up... we'll talk aboutdetails as the time nears. Can any of you 3 bring anything?

Afrotaki - Pleasure to have you aboard. I always like seeing a new face around.

Moogle - Awesome, i was hoping to see you come. Tell Shannan she doesn't have a choice but to come and throw her in the car :p

Going to update the pre-reg post. Let me know if any of the maybe's get more definite. I'd like an update from the ATL crew too :p

<EDIT>
Let me know if I'm missing anyone on the pre-reg page as far as people or eq goes. We got 3 setups, we're gonna need more :p

Yep. I've played you before. I believe you came to my house with Phoenix a couple times, and I played your older brother for money.

Well, I like the stage alright, but I like seeing how EVERY person in the tournament picks it as thier ban stage.

Also Zane, your logic about it being unfair with the floaty characters is wrong, because it's got a low celine most of the time, so they die easier, so I really don't think it's much of an advantage....

Rainbow doesn't really help the floaties; it does however, help Falco a good bit. Fox pwns there too. As far as people banning that, why? Just ask for a mutal ban. 99% of the smash community doesn't like that stage so they will be willing to get rid of it without you having to use your stage ban.

If 99% of the Smash community hates the stage, then why have it as neutral? You and I have mutual banned it before, but why not just take it out of the neutral stages entirely. The stage blows.

Why not? Cause the standard of all smash tournaments, MLG, has decided, after much debate I might add, that they will keep it neutral.

I would still rather ban stages till there is only one left or always start on Stadium, cause that won't screw me or anyone else over. But if there is still a chance for me to random into a Marth on ****in Yoshi's Story with Falco there **** WELL better be a chance for me to random into Rainbow.

Actually, I am pro any ruleset that allows me to know what stage I will be on BEFORE I select my character. Regardless of stages being "neutral" they are still far from even :-P.

I just think it's funny. I fought for keeping that stage off neutral for sooooo long, yet it still remained. Now that I have learned how to use it to my advantage, it gets banned :-P.

I dunno people. Me(Doodah), Tipman, 1-up, Synikal, and the 2 NBP's might be willing to goto this. But there just isn't enough people entering. I don't wanna travell 1000 miles to win only 200 bucks. Heh heh.

inn1 gave out $301 to first place, inn2 was $315.
it's $100 more than your prediction, which isn't much, but it is more.

also, i'm looking into geting this entry fee raised to $15.

I think this one will be bigger, too. I think the time may have deterred some people. If you guys have some OOS housing (Which I'd like to know more about, btw), I think this tournament will be pretty huge.

So far, I have to add Cow And Sin under our group. Not Sure about S17 or Sephiroth.

@I can't wait for INN3. I must fight the special guest that might show up, Like Mike G Or Chudat.

@Smash Synicate and everyone else, is anyone going to FC6? If so maybe I can have someone carpooled or flown.

I dunno; I've heard Cpn. Falcon players complain about stadium 'cause they can't do any of their across the screen combos due to all the stuff in the way.

I get what you're saying though. I just want to take RC out of neutral stages 'cause I hate it lol. I play Fox, so the stage is advantagous to me. I still loathe it though lol.

I have heard every character other than Cpn. Falcon complain on FD 'cause they can do their across the screen combos'. LOL, really, that is a moot point there, cause platform levels botch this up too. If anything, it allows Captain to do good combos, but nothing that goes across the screen (at least not consistentl). The platforms allow the opponent a way out. That is what we want in a neutral stage right? The ability to do your best stuff, but also get out of everyone elses best stuff. Right?

'cause I hate it lol
You shouldn't ban a stage cause you hate it, you should ban it because it is broken in some way. While I admit Falco has a good advantage there, it isn't tremendous, unless of course the opponent doesn't ever play on RC cause he hates it , and if you lose because of that, it's your fault, not the Falco player's. If we banned every stage we didn't like, we wouldn't have a stage left to play, cause somewhere there is someone that hates the stage you love.

My suggestion is that everyone learn how to play on this stage, and every other stage you dislike but is allowed, cause if you don't you will be screwed by it.

We are putting Mookie on perma RC from now on....you can only play on RC. which is going to be kind of hard come to think of it since the person you will be playing is going to ban it....I guess that means that you will have to forfit. Which means we all have a chance now....and by we all have a chance now, I mean I have a chance now.

@Zane come to think of it man. From the looks of things about the only way I am going to find somebody to change shifts with at work will be to find somebody looking at porn and then to force them into changing shifts with me. I guess the idea of working 4-12:30 on a saturday night is a turn off...

Aid - see if you can use the floating holiday before someone else snatches it up.

Turok - wtf... you're the only person that I've ever heard say INN was ran bad... the reason results took a while is b/c INN isn't a small 10-15 person tourney like most locals are...

@everyone - I'll update things later on, in a hurry but wanted to throw a few 2 cents in...

We need people, where is all the regulars?!

Aww sure ya can lol. :chuckle: JK

Just about every little group of Smash playing friends I've been in rarely plays the stage, so I really don't know the stage as well as I should. Every time the stage gets picked, everyone usually gets a glazed, dissapointed look in there eyes. I think if it becomes a neutral stage I'll just continue my banning of it.

However, seeing how it's not a neutral stage right now, I can spend my ban on a glitchidy-edged stage like Battlefield. Hurray for me. :)

Turok- INN 3 was poorly ran? I'd have to agree. I mean the pizza and coke that flowed like wine, playing Smash all night with your friends, fun atmosphere, serious tournament play mixed with friendlies in between,. What kind of hell was Zane trying to put us through anyway? No way I'm ever coming to one of these things again...

Chamberlin is a psychic... he already knows how INN 3 is going to be...

... so Clay... when exactly should I try that cape in the 4th match? When he starts to come up, or wait until he's falling?

Ouchzorz Dah, Mapquest says 15 hours. I am sure we could prolly cut that down to about 12, but that is still quite a long ways. I wish South, FL wasn't so isolated :(, and I am sure you guys wish that moreso.

okay so, vote on whether or not we should raise the entry fees to $15.
for $5 we'll pull in more out of state competition, which equals more fun and better players to friendly with so you can get good and go to their state someday and take their money.
