Japanese SSBB pro videos! straight from Ikki san!

Great videos, I saw them previously from Gonintendo. They were great, unfortunately, most were too alike in character/stage choice. I guess that's the "tourney way" to do things. D:

After the 5th video of Ike versus DDD, I was starting to make the connection of that Smash skit over on Newgrounds.

You know, the one where at the start it says something like this:

"The fight you've all been waiting for. After all these years, we'll finally know who's better *while showing silhouettes of Mario and Sonic*. IKE! DEDEDE! In an all out BRAWL!"

Either way, we need more PT
The guy who played PT pretty much only spamed a select few attacks and never gave any of the others much of a real good go.

Also, check out DDD/Ike match two, at 45 Seconds, DDD either does a Forward Roll, or an INK DROP towards Ike before he hits him.

Well, there are only 7 characters choosable on the demo, and we've seen most of the other characters being played.. except for dedede, the post e for all ike, and PT.

What was that very low "Boom" sound that hapened continuously in every match?

Around 1:13 of the Kirby vs Kirby match it looks like the blue kirby L canceled. He fast falled and there seemed to be zero lag. I realize this could be very low lag on the move now, but I'm still being hopeful L canceling is in still. Also, when the Pink Kirby did his drill move he very quickly followed it up with a strong up.

You know the Ike player is the 2nd best Marth in Japan right? I think he understands smash..

I'm not sure, but I think it was Triple D bouncing around and stuff. My god, the characters are gonna be balanced out pretty well. The starters are awesome! Loving Triple D!

It looks like PT (more specifically Charizard) might be a counter to Ike. Semi spike with Charizard's Fair and Ike's sent at such an angle it doesn't look like he could recover at all.

Charizard's fair looks amazing, and it looks like they improved a couple of Ike's speed issues. This game, to put it simply...looks unbelievable.

In the kirby vs ike one, kirby does an f throw at very low % but ike didn't break free; i think they (hopefully) improved it quite a bit.

also, i heard kirby has a new u tilt, but can't find anything on it. Does anyone have a video, or can anyone describe it to me?

From what I can see here, I'd say that Ike's weak A combo and his quick draw will be his bread and butter moves. Dedede looks like he'll dominate the heavyweight section of Brawl unless someone like Ganondorf or Wolf manages to kick him off his throne. Kirby looks so much better than he was in Melee! Faster, badder and with better air control than ever before!

Link seems greatly improved as well. This is some great stuff we're getting here. I just love those heavywight matches between Dedede and Ike!

Nice videos I've watched them multiple times throughout the day. Both DDD and Ike looked better than I thought and I know the guys playing were some of the top melee pros, but they still looked really good. Did anyone else notice that Pokemon Trainer was a different color in the last video?

He does it in the video a few times... same as melee. Actually does a d-throw to up-tilt combo. His dash attack changed tho.

I'm surprised to see Dedede is such great character, now I'll be using all three Kirby reps ^^. Ike seems to be a lot faster than I heard, some even used the term "awfully slow", nw he doesn't seem like that, I hope he's not broken.

The PT video was also good, for some reason Squirtle seems more useful than most people think... we'll see.

XD Just hope that his VA from that show doesn't do his real voice in Brawl. I mean Sakuari already had Dedede sayin' "Right Back at Ya" on the Dojo. Oh, and from that point of view sushiemanx it looks Sakuari is using something from that show, so don't jump on me.

Lol, didn't mean to lash at you like that. I just hate that travesty of a show so much. Infact, it's also pronounced "Deedeedee" in Kirby's Avalanche, the Kirby version of Puyo Pop (one of my fav puzzle games).

Meta Knight's voice isn't the English voice, and Nintendo ditched 4Kids as the Pokemon actors(even if some voice actors returned), and the anime is NOT cannon with the game series at all. It's possible the Japanese site did have something of a reference to the anime, though, given that the Kirby games adapted some design elements from the anime, so the US one would need the equivalent US one.
