To expand on that, Ben told me there will be "lots" of Melee players, but that space won't be an issue and they will be playing P:M, not Melee. He also suggested the possibility of holding a mini-tourney~

Also, there's a chance I might show up with a bunch of food, so yeah.

Dawson and I are going to Chilliwack this Sunday for a brawl tournament at Darkside games. I'm driving down there and there is three more spots open if anyone is down to come with us. It takes about a hour to get there, so I was thinking of leaving at around 11am.. If anyone is down to come with us let me know.

Super cool mad shoutouts to the fellows that came out here

Hey guys I am setting up a Melee Tourney for November 1st at BCIT and i need your help with the details of how to go about doing this.
I got 6 set upsI 2 rooms . I am doing this with a team of people and i will be getting help from "PressStart".

This is what i need to know:
1.) What is the best way to get this information out to the other players
2.) What details are needed for the event page
3.) How important are CRTs because i got 0 of them

This event is being held from 5:30 - 10:00
But its not the only one. There will be other games in separate rooms: LoL, StartCraft, Team Fortress 2, ect...
The cost is 7$ IF you preregister
$10 if you pay at the door
That price comes with food and soft drinks.

1) Message your friends list/Post it in the BC Smash Community on face book.
2) Time/Rules/Place/Entry fee/Schedule/brief description
3) CRTs are important for the reason that if you try to play smash on an HD TV, there will be frames of lag that is very noticable. You may still be able to get new players, but if you mention you need CRTs, I'm sure some of BC melee will help you out. If you get them attendance will be a lot better and the tournament experience will also be a lot better.

Since people can't seem to find a new venue, I have taken it upon myself, the hero of BC who is much more of a hero than Dawson could ever dream to be to provide you guys with a new venue.

Where is this Venue you may ask? It's my house, 5640 Maple Road Richmond BC.

My house can support 4-8 Crts and is much better than Stronghold

-All seats will ether be comfy sofas of soft beds for your asses
-Access to a Bathroom
-711, and Dominoes which is a 3 minute walk from my house, along with Mcdonalds, Subway, Safeway, and some restaurants 10 minutes away.
-2 Brawl setups/1 CRT+1 Large projector CRT is already available at my house.
-5 Setups can be fit comfortably upstairs so we would all be close to each other and not separated on different floors
-Free filtered water with ice + Cups
-Free WiFi
-Can bring food, and drinks inside
-Access to my Shower for baths together with me :wolf:bbcumbak

-Can play till 12am
-2 Dollar Venue Fee

Ex of my upstairs living room that can hold 2-3 TV's comfortably

That's not the TV, that one broke. I have another one that's about twice the size of that

Tried to bring it downstairs, and discovered that I don't even lift.

He originally wanted the venue fee to be $10. With a little bit of help from Jake I got him down to $2 only because I made him realize nobody would show with that kind of fee.
