K. Rool is love, K. Rool is life.

Please do so, this truly expands my dong! :lick:
Which part? Refine the parody in actual lyrics?
Rip the song and then do a Movie Maker play over for what the Krooler lyrics are?
Movie Maker edit but with me singing over it with the lyrics?
Or try to go full dance number to play with it?

The third option for the entire song since we do need our official theme song for the ballot. It shouldn't be too hard since anyone can pull off the sexy male spy accent. :awesome:

I'd rather Klump or Krusha join at his side.
Krusha and Klump would be a good idea for a baseball game (one can dream) but realistically they're not really "all-star" enough to be in smash just yet. But seriously I beg for them to be introduce in a Wii U/NX Baseball game along with other Kremlings.. I'd cry to be able to play a good viable K. Rool team.

Imagine the whole Shrek is love Shrek is life 4chan copy-pasta but with K Rool replacing every instance of Shrek...It still surprisingly works! :rotfl:
There's a picture on the official tumblr page already suggestiong Shrek fans/voters to vote K. Rool because of their surprising similarities. :rotfl:

I was only 9 years old.
I loved K.Rool so much, I had all the marchandise and video games
I pray to K.Rool every night before bed, thanking him for the live I've been given
`` K.Rool is love`` I say. ``K.Rool is life``
My dads hear me and calls me a ******
I know he was just jealous of my devotion for K.Rool
I called him a kong
He slaps me and sends me go to sleep
I'm crying now, and my face hurts
I lay in my bed and it's really cold
A warmth is moving towards me
I feel something touch me
It's K.Rool
I am so happy
He whispers in my ear ``this is my ship``
He grabs me with his powerful krok claws and put me on my hands and knees
I'm ready
I spread my
for K.Rool
He penetrat my

It hurts so much, but I do it for the king
I can fell my butt tearing as my eyes start to water
I push against his force
I want to please K.Rool
He laughs his mighty laugh as he fill my
with his dong love
My dad walks in
K.Rool looks him straight in the eyes and says. ``It wasn't that K.Rool``
K.Rool leaves through the window
K.Rool is love K.Rool is life.
Sorry:troll:

Well... everyone else has done it already, but I figured, why not, I'll make a K. Rool moveset too:

K. ROOL
KRUSHES THE COMPETITION!

HEIGHT/FRAME:

WALK SPEED: 0.65 (slowest)
RUN SPEED: 1.84 (between Diddy and Pikachu)
WEIGHT: 130 (heaviest)

ENTRANCE: Lands straight from the sky with his arms raised.
IDLE STANCE:

IDLE ANIMATION 1: Looks at the screen, gasping with his hand over his mouth.
IDLE ANIMATION 2: Takes out his blunderbuss, twirling it.
CROUCH: Lies on his belly with his arms out and his head to the side, playing dead.
WALK/RUN ANIMATION:

JUMP: Raises his fists high into the air with a massive first jump.
SECOND JUMP: A smaller flip forward into the air, curled into a ball.

TAUNT 1: Puts his hands on his hips and laughs.
TAUNT 2: Raises his arms, showing off to the crowd.
TAUNT 3: Rolls his crown onto his hand, holding it up with a grin, sparkling, then puts it back on.

NEUTRAL ATTACK: Lunges forward with a bite, then follows up with multiple rapid bites.
DASH ATTACK: Holding the blunderbuss behind him, it shoots out fire that pushes him forward.
SIDE TILT: Thrusts his belly forward.
UP TILT: Claps his claws upwards, the arms extending and doing damage for the entire arc of the movement.
DOWN TILT: Bites forward with his head on the ground.

FORWARD SMASH: Swings the bottom of the blunderbuss forward.
UP SMASH: Throws a mine upward, which explodes after reaching a certain distance.
DOWN SMASH: Pulls out two remotes in either hand, sticking them out at both of his sides, firing out an electric shot.

FLOOR ATTACK (FRONT): Kicks his feet forward and stands up.
FLOOR ATTACK (BACK): Claws forward and stands up.
FLOOR ATTACK (TRIP): Claws and kicks in both directions as he stands up.
LEDGE ATTACK: Swings around the ledge, landing on the ground on his back, his feet sticking out into a kick.

NEUTRAL AERIAL: Curls into a ball and spins around.
FORWARD AERIAL: Sticks his face forward and bites.
UP AERIAL: Lifts a remote and electrocutes the target.
BACK AERIAL: Drops his head backwards, attacking with the crown.
DOWN AERIAL: Spreads his arms and belly flops.

GRAB: Uses the blunderbuss to vacuum the target towards K. Rool.
PUMMEL: Shakes the character violently and lets them go.
FORWARD THROW: Fires them out of the blunderbuss.
UP THROW: Tosses the target up and fires several cannonballs at them.
BACK THROW: Throws them back and hits them with the bottom of the blunderbuss.
DOWN THROW: Throws them on the ground and shoots fire at them.

NEUTRAL SPECIAL (BLUNDERBUSS KANNON): K. Rool fires blunderbuss projectiles of five kinds, one after another: standard cannonballs, spiked cannonballs, blue gas that briefly stuns the target, red gas that briefly slows down the target, and purple gas that turns the target backwards.
SIDE SPECIAL (KROWN TOSS): K. Rool throws the crown off of his head as it spins forward, then boomerangs back. Moves that have a hitbox with his crown lose the crown's hitbox and strength while the crown is airborne.
UP SPECIAL (KOPTER PACK): Baron K. Roolenstein's copter pack forms on his back while he flies upwards, waving his arms and the propeller's rod sticking high up. Both his arms and the propeller blades deal damage.
DOWN SPECIAL (QUAKE KRUSH): K. Rool slams into the ground, sending out shockwaves from both sides.

FINAL SMASH (KREMLING KREW): A trio of Kritters appear and lunge forward, ganging up on the nearest target(s), beating them up. Then they clear out, letting K. Rool get the final punch on the victim(s).

VICTORY 1: Poses victoriously with two other Kritters.
VICTORY 2: Sitting in a throne, grinning, flickering his fingers against each other.
VICTORY 3: Leaning forward with his claws sticking out, laughing, looking at the camera.

Although he has moves and equipment from many games, I wanted to emphasize his appearance and behaviors from DKC1.

Between Diddy and Pikachu in speed? That's... Kind of insane actually. I wouldn't make him faster than DK, but that's just me. 130 as weight is a good thing though.

Based on my reaction speed when I was a kid and how many times I got Game Over on K. Rool at the end. Yes he should be faster than DK in speed.... :p

I gave him a speed faster than Diddy since that's how he actually is in DKC1, with the slowest walking speed to compensate. I would make his physical attacks on the weaker side to further compensate for his speed. That makes him only a bit faster than Bowser's running speed.

I always thought of K Rool as a cross between Bowser and Villager. Heavy weight and plenty of projectiles and traps. ...kinda like Snake with a very similar recovery to him (Kopter Pack from DKC3). Give him tools to get away from, space out, or just plain deal with light weight quick hitters will make K Rool at least somewhat viable in tournaments. It's characters that can fend off Diddy, Shiek, and ZS Samus that can go far. Most heavyweights can't do that. K Rool being a projectile/trap based character with decent recovery can take him far. If you compensate by making his melee attacks weaker than Bowser and other heavies, that could actually allow him to combo more efficiently? Thus allowing his gadgets, traps, and projectiles to have more killing power.

I'm no backroomer but I think a heavy weight, light hitting, comboing, projectile and trap based character with decent recovery could take him far in tournies. (potentially working with a disjointed hitbox on the top of his Kopter UpSpecial to protect against attacks from above, limiting approaching options in the air, with Mario's fAir or Charizard's Flare Blitz probably punishing Kopter Pack hard by attacking from the side, or any decent fAir for that matter, or probably Mega Man's dAir as its a projectile). Also give him the ability to cancel his UpSpecial (like Dedede, unlike Duck Hunt) so he can use it for offense or quickly traversing platforms while ensuring he's safe from above attacks.

Hey, I'm already handling a song! Do you think any human throat is capable of preparing 2 K. Rool songs at any period of time? Also I can't do rap
I was just messing with you, we are all Kremlings human after all. :p

Quarter Guy would be perfect since his Top Ten Choices video proves that he likes the song.

I really hope this thread would be not ended like the Ridley thread (and for some reason, the Dark Samus thread). It was really a hard moment for the Ridley fan and i don't want that happen with our King. (Also because i don't want that all big thread of big character ended up after that they character they wanted being disconfirmed after so much hope)

Well, the Ridley fans were tormented with basically a shadow for months before finally dropping the disconfirmation in the end. No other fans had to endure something like that.

After the 3DS roster was leaked, this thread wasn't too much better either, to be honest. Hatred and flames all around... but it was drowned by the bigger (heh) riots in the neighbourhood.

I can Kongfirm this. I was a member of both fanbases at the time.

Suffice is to say, it was not pretty. We got through, though, and I'd like to think we're all the stronger for it.

I came to this thread the day the smash bros ballot was announced and glad I wasn't here for the let down of K. Rool not being in the main roster. I was upset myself since I've wanted him in since Melee as a kid but glad this thread eventually found hope with DLC. And I wouldn't even call this thread a "hope" thread because I feel like the only "hope" threads are for characters that probably have no chance of making it in (geno). Overall, just glad K. Rool has another huge chance at Sm4sh. And his place back in Donkey Kong games as the greater goal.

I've wanted K. Rool passively since before Brawl and actively since pre-4 speculation, but kinda wrote him off as a pipe dream for 4 due to heavy competition and a feeling we would get Dixie instead. But thanks to the business model of DLC relying on popular characters, along with his competition out of the way, this is his biggest chance by far.

Heavyweights are far more viable in this game though. This isn't Brawl.

:231:
In detractor-ese, "Why would anyone want another heavyweight? They're fat, slow, stupid, useless and no one uses them" translates to "I personally dislike and/or lack the skill to use heavyweight characters, and my personal preferences should dictate which characters become playable."

Bowser's more enjoyable to play in Smash 4 than he's ever been before, and DK and Dedede, while I'm not a big fan of some of the changes that were made to them, feel great to play as IMO. K. Rool could be a welcome addition among their ranks.

I don't understand the people who want DLC characters to be good or nothing.
Yesterday I found a guy who posted that if the next DLC characters are as bad as Mewtwo, he would not buy them.
Wat.

It's sad that some people just see lovable characters as a bunch of hitboxes and frame data.
Also, patches exist.

Anyone who says heavyweights are bad need to take a real good look at another character from this series.

Have you guys seen Pizzadudemanguy's top ten characters for Smash DLC video?
It's probably the first top ten wanted Smash characters list I've seen to have K. Rool at number one.

While heavyweights aren't that great in Smash 4, I'd say none of them are among the complete worst characters in the game. I'm sure K. Rool would be at least decent enough. He'd definitely be one of my more frequently played characters. I'm sure he won't be as disappointing as Mewtwo. (I hope...)

Considering how much better overall Mewtwo is than in Melee, I can't consider it disappointing.

As long as K. Rool isn't in the bottom five or so, I'll be content.

Alright, time for me to take my stab at a K. Rool moveset.

While great K Rool mixes exist, I'm writing this while listening to this:

I think of K. Rool everytime I hear it on the radio, so I felt it was fitting. Sure, K. Rool can be a bumbling idiot at times, but his fanatical army and his depraved means to a despicable end make him at least somewhat frightening.

The general design document for a K. Rool character has most of his melee and standard attacks be played defensively, with his special attacks being more potent, making K. Rool a more specialist character. This goes against his brute appearance and can hopefully throw enemies off expecting the usual physical powerhouse heavy.

BASICS

Idle - K. Rool's height is meant to be imposing. He stands slightly taller than Bowser, Crown/Pirate Hat not counting to this (it has no hurtbox, like Charizard's wings), as K Rool is meant to be entirely upright and with better posture to give an air of superiority and regal feeling. This makes him the game's tallest character, and likely overall largest for screen space, due to his girth.

Crouching - K. Rool's biggest weakness is easily his immense size. He likely wouldn't be able to crouch any lower than Bowser, meaning he can't avoid attacks this way like smaller characters. It's mostly meant for following up with crouching attacks or for crawling.

MOVEMENT

Sneaking - The slowest movement via control stick is him having a tip-toeing, sneaking animation. This makes him feel diabolical in a more cheesy sense to balance being a threat with being comic relief, which he's been doing since his unveiling in DKC.

Walking/Running - K. Rool's walking and running speeds should be considered below average. He's powerful but still fat, and likely would not want to over exert himself unless he has to sprint. Think Bowser or Ganondorf speeds for this, more of a light jog at most or a regal stride.

Sprinting - K. Rool has been known to show incredible bursts of speed, as seen in DKC1. He can also use his blunderbuss to give him a burst of speed, but that seems more like a dash attack. K. Rool's animation while sprinting is him charging forward at high speed, fast but not as fast as Charizard, who has the 8th fastest sprint and fastest heavy sprint overall.

Crawling - Unlike most heavies, K. Rool can crawl. He breaks out into a crocodile-like waddle when crawling. It doesn't have much use other than for flavor, other than following up with a crouching attack as K. Rool's size prevents him from avoiding attacks.

AERIAL MOVEMENT

Jump/Mid-Air Jump - K. Rool is defined by his ability to leap very high off the ground. His first initial leap would be very high, while still retaining the ability to 'short hop' small distances to quickly perform aerial attacks. His Mid-Air jump would likely not be quit as high as a standard jump. This means his recovery through regular jumping will be hindered, but he will have ways to compensate for this later, as K. Rool is largely a specialist rather than a physical powerhouse.

Weight - K. Rool is believably heavy, and drops like a rock. His powerful jumping ability as well as gravity bringing him back down quickly gives K. Rool a good sense of mobility in the air, being able to traverse terrain via. jumping without feeling "floaty" ala. Mewtwo or Rosalina. 130 weight was discussed beforehand? That seems apt.

STANDARD ATTACKS

Idle Attack Combo - K. Rool may or may not don a pair of boxing gloves for this attack. He gives a quick one-two punch and follow up with a wallop (first two attacks meant to keep characters flinched, but the third attack meant to get enemies away from him by knocking them back) in vain of Donkey Kong with average priority meant to fend off in-your-face characters so K. Rool can gain a more advantageous position. Very low kill power.

Forward Attack - K. Rool hits the enemy with a more powerful knock out punch, meant for creating space, again. Similar to Bowser's attack.

Up Attack - If K. Rool's iteration in Smash includes a tail, he will swing his tail upward to smack foes approaching from above. If he lacks a tail, his fists do the job just as nicely.

Crouch Attack - While on all fours, K. Rool lunges forward to bite the enemy with his powerful jaws. Low knockback but higher damage.

Dash Attack - K. Rool uses his blunderbuss to shoot behind him, making him charge forward while bum rushing with his shoulder. This is a potential kill move.

AIR ATTACKS

Neutral Air - K. Rool flails out with all his limbs, doing low damage but average knockback to keep away aerial attackers. This is his fastest aerial attack, being nearly instant, as a defensive move.

Forward Air - K. Rool swipes with his claws, knocking enemies forward and slightly downward. Good for following up with ground attacks or projectiles afterword.

Back Air - K. Rool delivers a brutal elbow bash behind him.

Up Air - Swings his blunderbuss upward, hitting enemies with the stock of his gun.

Downward Air - K. Rool kicks quickly downward with his legs. The range on this is low as his legs are quite stubby.

THROWS

Grab - K. Rool reaches out to grab the enemy by the chest, in sort of a jock-like collar grab. Attacks made while grappling will have K. Rool throwing punches with his free hand.

Forward Throw - K. Rool tosses the enemy forward, following up with a blunderbuss shot.

Up Throw - A blast barrel appears beside K. Rool, where he very quickly throws the enemy into the barrel that's facing upward, and he shoots his hand pointing upward, where the barrel blasts the enemy vertically up. Kills at average-high percents.

Back Throw - K. Rool grabs the enemy with his maw, tossing them backward.

Down Throw - K. Rool tosses the enemy to the ground, stomping on them with a foot, sending them flying off upward. Meant more for damage than launching.

SPECIALS

Neutral Special - K. Rool blasts out a cloud of purple mist that causes enemies to briefly suffer confusion that inverts their controls at random. This effect lasts for 2 seconds, enough time for K. Rool to start a new attack, flee, or combo. Persistent use causes the effect to shorten.

Side Special - K. Rool fires a kannonball out of his blunderbuss. Charing the attack will give the kannonball higher priority and higher velocity. A charged kannonball will rival charged Samus and Mewtwo blasts. This is K. Rool's bread and butter for the ranged game.

Up Special - K. Rool exchanges his cape (if he has one) for the Kopter Pack of DKC3. There is a disjointed hitbox on the propellers of the helicopter pack, limiting approaches from above. This can be used for recovery (on par with Snake's upSpecial) or can be cancelled early to quickly traverse platforms or for safe vertical approaches.

Down Special - K. Rool places an electrical diode at his location. He has 5-10 seconds to place a second diode or the original will let out a weak shock around itself before dissapearing. If he places a second diode close to the first, a straight, electrical current arcs between the two diodes. This may not happen depending on terrain, or it could go through terrain. This acts as a damage barrier, but the diodes must be placed on a solid surface or else they will not work. They can be dropped onto the ground from height, however.

SMASH ATTACKS

Forward Smash - K. Rool charges up his blunderbuss for a shotgun scatter shot blast. It has reach, but does more damage the closer point blank it is to the muzzle.

Up Smash - A kremling kannon appears behind K Rool as he throws his hands up, blasting upward in an explosion to send enemies flying vertically.

Down Smash - K. Rool brings out a remote controller and shocks the area around him, hitting enemies on both sides. His charging animation will be him smacking the remote to get it to work.

FINAL SMASH

There are two options here:

Kannonball Drop - K. Rool will signal giant kannonballs to drop randomly throughout the stage, smacking into platforms before flying downward throughout the stage. It lasts for a short while with more kannonballs appearing than normal just before it ends.

OR

Kredits - K. Rool will drop to the ground, causing a false credit roll to appear, with Kremling names being in the credits. The credit lines are solid and cause enemies to flinch. They make enemies fly at high percents, but the danger is getting caught in the vertical scrolling credits that can carry enemies off the stage.

Taunts could include an evil laugh, his Krusha K. Rool cheering, and loading his blunderbuss.

Not sure when mewtwo became "utter TRASH" in sm4sh? He's like the best glass cannon there is in Smash 4 and his mix-up game is pretty insane.

It's really stupid how Mewtwo is the 2nd lightest character in the game on top of being huge. Fortunately, K. Rool has no chance of having the same problem, so he will most likely be more viable than Mewtwo.

It's true that he's too light, but almost everything else from Melee was greatly improved. He might not be the best character in the game, but he's definitely got a lot to offer.
