That's why I just hate this whole situation right now, it's basically Ridley all over again, and for a lot of us it's our second time on this roller coaster because there's huge overlap between Rool and Ridley fans. Hell, even -I- sound delusional to myself which is what the entire Ridley fanbase has been pegged as: delusional. And unless Sakurai pulls a fast one on us and confirms K. Rool we will endure the same poop slinging and dehumanizing the Ridley fans have endured already.

Nobody's at war with anybody else. Besides there's not any Fire Emblem characters as noteworthy as Dixie Kong or King K. Rool left to include, so it's a pretty unbalanced war.

After it, this is an original model of the classic King, rather than his modern look, and the only time they use new models for Mii costumes are when they are also fighters or Assist Trophies.

1. "Wave" is not an exact wording. The original word is more of "This time", instead of "This wave" like 第2弾 (second wave) as said in official site. The meaning is similar tho.
2. "Each wave has at least 1 character" is not quite true. At least there are no announcement of characters coming as translated.

I'm honestly feeling sick. I know it may mean nothing...What did Chrom's description say? If K.Rool has 'recreation' and stuff and Chrom doesn't, I'll feel more hopeful

Speaking as a Fire Emblem fan I think people are cool with Chrom being a Mii because we got a returnee, a brand new character that's unique, and a new clone. I personally hated Chrom though so guess I was personally happy with just those 5. I think a good amount of the fanbase thought that there was no way in hell Chrom would have been unique enough to warrant a vote (Hector or Ephraim however would be amazing as they could bring something new and break the stereotype of FE=sword people).

Rool would have to be revealed within for a potential "fake-out" to work...if there's not a Direct on Friday, I think it could still be feasible to see it happen in August, but only if it's the very next Direct. Any longer and I think our goose is cooked, to borrow a phrase.

First of all, why exhaust more effort redesigning the character for the more minor addition? Second, the costume is pretty clearly labeled "King K. Rool" with no Rare reference in sight. And three, the Paon gem is retained in the design, so it's more of a hybrid than anything else.

Grasping at straws here, but it mentions that while "he (Chrom) joins the fray", you only feel like the Kremling boss. While this easily could just be a wording choice or something loss in translation, it could also be a hint that the K Rool outfit isn't actually K Rool and that the character is on the way.

I wouldn't say our goose is cooked. In depends on the context. If the ballot isn't taken into consideration at all until October, we're fine. There's no fake-out, we just get K. Rool after the costume. If there's a fake-out, we'll get an announcement very shortly that its the case.

think it's more realistic to be negative about K. Rool's chances when we hear more about the ballot and when these characters are expected. So far, we know very little. Not a single character released so far has been a "ballot" character. Only speculation has suggested that ballot characters will arrive before the october deadline.

It might still be too early for any of them, including K. Rool.

I don't think there will be a Direct on Friday, but I expect one in August.
It's very possible that he kould be revealed then. Preferably alongside Wolf.

For some reason I have a mental image of K. Rool's potential reveal trailer (assuming he's still coming) after all this as something along the lines of the K. Rool Mii dropping in on the Kongs, who promptly KO him and begin to celebrate, only to be interrupted (a la the Kredits from DKC) by the real King K. Rool himself.

Just an idea that's been bouncing around my head since the announcement this morning.~

At this point I just want them to say if he's confirmed or not instead of waiting until Friday (or even later). This literally caused the entire Smash scene to explode with two sides: the Deconfirmed and the Confirmed sides. I'd rather just be told to give up than hold onto hope just to lose it later. It's only been half a day and we literally have over 150 people viewing this thread consistently. This is really ridiculous. If he was in the game I would imagine they wouldn't want to do another Meta Knight situation and they sure as heck probably don't want another Ridley situation (which was BS in my opinion as well). This has been a giant rollercoaster of emotions and it's only been 8 hours.

I've never seen a developer hate his fans so damn much. Good luck K. Rool bros. It may not look good right now but I hope he still makes it. If this keeps up Sakurais "fan service" comment is just going to end up meaning "all cut clones and pseudo-clones" instead of actually requested newcomers. I think Nintendo is actively trying to make their older fanbase hate them.

Edit: Also it would at least be acceptable to a degree if the headgear covered the whole head. Nobody who would buy a K. Rool outfit would want to see some random Mii head obscure the King himself. They'd want the face to cover the whole thing. I hate that about the Isabelle outfit, too. Seems stupid. Though it is Sakurai we're talking about.

I would say it's due to how the costume works. With K Rool you're dressing up like a Crocodile, as a human; but with Chrom you're dressing up as a human while already being human.
