Hey guys, I wanted to see if we:

A) seed by location based on Zip code
B) run pools

we have limited spaces for this event and we have about 4-5 setups for smash melee and brawl.

I may just cap the entries to 32 on Saturday - The friday tourney is bragging rights only, I'm not going to worry about running pools on those, that we will run straight through with brackets and zip code seeding.

Tantalus, your more than welcome to work with us on this if you want to have some input on Smash for the tourney.

I was going to suggest that.

I can only come for saturday, so I'll find you at the con and we can talk. But 32 man brax sounds pretty good. We can do seeding based on skill level and crew mostly.

We'll also need a stage list for this and some basic rules, I suggest the following for stage lists:

Melee Singles:
Neutral: Final Destination, Battlefield, Fountain of Dreams, Yoshi's Story, and Dream Land 64
Counterpick: Mute City, Brinstar, Kongo Jungle 64, Corneria, Pokemon Stadium
Melee Doubles: Same as singles with FoD and Mute banned, and Pokemon Stadium as the 5th neutral

Brawl Singles:
Neutral: Final Destination, Smashville, Battlefield
Counterpick: Yoshi's Island, Lylat, Halberd, Brinstar, Pokemon Stadium 1, Rainbow Cruise, Jungle Japes, Delfino Plaza, Frigate Orpheon, Castle Siege

Brawl Suicide rules: Bowser wins, everyone else is 1 stock run off

I already posted on the results thread, but it was great seeing all of the VA folks again, and was glad to see some of the new faces I always get to meet in the Smash community.

Shinku grats on Friday, Tantalus thx and grats on a smooth tourney.

little by little at events like this I will slowly be able to give you guys a lot more of what you want since the show of support for these games is growing and growing with each event.
