Are there any additional codes you have besides the File Replacement?
Do you have the gct files and not a txt file? Believe it or not alot of people make this mistake.

Well, I don't have that kind of access yet.
Are there any Gamecube Memory cards in your Wii? If so, take them out prior to booting the game.

Then I think your Wii may be the issue.
If you can contact someone who knows where to put the strap screen, then you may get the proper solution. When you do, be sure to use your PAL copy of SSBB.
